Subject: Bible Study May 7th

1st, I wanted to take the time to thank Rick for all that he's done for the Bible Study with his blog and his passion for the LORD. He will be missed and I wish him the best as he moves to California. If you get a chance please thank him as he did a lot for the study.

I appreciate the thanks, Rick

This week we will study Exodus 11 & Exodus12

Exodus 11:1-3: why ask for silver & gold? see Exodus 3:22, who is the neighbor? what does verse 3 say about Moses's reputation?

Exodus 11:4-10: Why the 1st born? see Psalm 82:1 & Exodus 6:2, Is this fair? Does it matter?

Exodus 12:1-14: What is the Passover and why is it important? Exodus 12:14 & Exodus 12:34, when? why no blemishes or defects? why the same night? see Hebrews 9:14, 1 Peter 1:18-19, and 1 Corinthians 5:6-8.

Exodus 12:15-20: What is the Feast of Unleavened Bread and why is it so important? see Exodus 12:11, 12:17.

Exodus 12:21-28: Are there any traditions in our families that is important to pass down or fun to do?

Exodus 12:29-34: Look at verse 32, what does this say about Mighty Pharaoh? Why did Egypt want the Israelites gone as well? See Psalm 105:37-38
Egyptians fear God but do they believe?

Exodus 12:35-40: Where do we see this? (Exodus 3:21-22) 600,000 men is there more? Also 435 years in Egypt, why? (Genesis 15:13-16)

Exodus 12:41-51: Why circumcised? Why is it so important? See Genesis 17:11-14 & Exodus 4:24-26 What's our sign today?
Look at verse 50, what would have happened if the people of Israel disobeyed? So how important is obedience to God?

Big Idea: How do traditions & celebrations relate to the obedience to God (Why obey God?
