Comment 1 by Rick Livermore:

There is a special reason for Psalm 39:4 in the Living Bible being singled out. The second half of the verse is "Help me to know that I am here for but a moment more." The New Living Translation is different, "Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is." Logos Bible Software did not allow me to pop up the Living Bible by Kenneth Taylor, only the New Living Translation using my javascript HTML reftagger system. If you wanted the exact words in Chapter 6 to tie to the text of the book The Purpose Driven Life the last paragraph of page 47 ends with this:

Lord, help me to realize how brief my time on earth will be. Help me to know that I am here for but a moment more.^2-- Warren, Rick (2002). The Purpose Driven Life. page 47 Michigan: Zondervan.

Comment 2 by Rick Livermore: The text of the book on the last paragraph of page 49 does not quote these three verses in a particular translation so the notes in the back of the book don't include which translation Rick Warren was thinking of when he said the following:  "The fact that earth is not our ultimate home explains why as followers of Jesus we experience difficulty, sorrow, and rejection in this world.^{11 "} Warren, Rick (2002).
