— Apologist Ravi Zacharias dies at 74
Prominent Christian apologist Ravi Zacharias died Tuesday after battling a rare form of bone cancer. He was 74.
His daughter, Sarah Davis, remembered him for always wanting to talk about Jesus Christ. She said, "Even in his final days, until he lacked the energy and breath to speak, he turned every conversation to Jesus and what the Lord had done."
— Ore. Supreme Court halts ruling that would've allowed church gatherings
The Oregon Supreme Court put on hold a lower court's ruling that would have allowed churches to gather in person.
The Monday ruling comes after 10 churches and ministries had filed a lawsuit against Gov. Kate Brown's restrictions on mass gatherings.
The decision remains in effect until the court hears arguments.
— Petition launched against PBS 'Prideland' series
Thousands of Christians are petitioning PBS to cancel its upcoming new series called "Prideland."
Over 52,000 people have signed the American Family Association's petition, which opposes the series for "proudly promoting a lifestyle that is unhealthy to both the individual who participates in the unnatural sexual behavior and to society as a whole."
The series, which begins airing next week, will explore LGBT identities in the U.S. South.
— Professor: Biggest lie young people believe about freedom
Sean McDowell, who teaches apologetics at Talbot School of Theology, said one of the biggest lies that young people are told in the United States is that freedom means that a person can do whatever they want.
Speaking at a recent Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview conference, he stressed that "freedom is not just doing what we want to do, freedom is living according to our purpose."
He added, "If God has created us, there's a purpose for lives, how we're supposed to live and we're only truly free if we know that purpose and live accordingly."
— Hailey Bieber talks guilt, trying to be good Christian girl
Supermodel Hailey Bieber recently talked about growing up in a Christian household and putting "extra guilt" on herself to be a "good girl."
In an interview with Hillsong's Natalie Manuel Lee, Bieber said everyone regrets mistakes they made but those bad decisions don't have to define who she is.
She added, "We're constantly evolving especially in Jesus. Our relationship with Christ is going deeper and deeper."
