80 Persecuted Women Gathering This Week

This will all take place at one of our Help The Persecuted Spiritual Retreats!   Two of the women attending are Cala and Hafsa … Cala and her family, members of the Yazidi faith, have been living in a refugee camp since ISIS invaded in 2014. Cala has always believed in God and tried desperately to draw near to Him, but never knew what was missing. She heard about Jesus through the internet and then asked a local pastor who visited the camp about church. She began attending church two years ago and accepted Christ in 2020. Her Yazidi community persecutes her, and she has been kicked out of the camp several times. Cala feels very isolated at times, and her heart's cry is to serve the Lord. Hafsa is from a Muslim family in Baghdad. She moved around a lot as a child to escape abuse in her home and ended up married and pregnant at 14. Her husband eventually divorced her and took her children away. Through a series of dreams and visions, she came to follow Jesus Christ. Her parents then threatened to place her in a psychiatric hospital or kill her if she did not revert to Islam, and her current husband threatened to take their children away. But the Lord confirmed to her that He has been watching over her throughout her life, so Hafsa decided to move to another town with her daughters and continue to pursue her life in Christ. Hafsa carries a tremendous amount of grief and is seeking the Lord for healing.   Our Field Ministry Team leader in Iraq, Rema, shared her vision for Cala, Hafsa, and the 78 other women who will attend the Spiritual Retreat. That said, so long as the media is in his corner (and they are), there is always a chance Biden can skirt responsibility for failing to get anything done despite controlling the executive branch and both legislative chambers. As Washington fruitlessly fought amongst itself, Facebook again dominated financial news Tuesday with a far-left whistleblower by the name of Frances Haugen testifying on the Hill. Dismayed by the divisiveness the social media platform creates, Haugen pushed for widespread regulation and censorship as the solution. The haughty Haugen literally volunteered herself to regulate Facebook. "Someone like me could do a tour of duty," she said unironically. Haugen is a creature of the left: she was praised by Democrats and far-left activists, she has a connection to George Soros, and she is working with Trump impeachment lawyers. She is not to be trusted. Yet, what is compelling nonetheless is the emerging consensus that Mark Zuckerberg's social media platforms are harming people. Still, while complaints are legion, solutions -- aside from massive censorship by the political establishment and leftists -- are few and far between.
