This is a self assigned project where I took one column of scripture from the scripture index on page 327 and looked up the scriptures and what was said on the topic in the text of the book. Some of the quotes from the text of the book were before the scripture was quoted and other times the quotes were after the scripture was quoted.

[3]Exodus 20:18 - 26
18 And zall the people saw the thunderings, and the alightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain bsmoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. 19 And they said unto Moses, cSpeak thou with us, and we will hear: but dlet not God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said unto the people, eFear not: for God is come to fprove you, and gthat his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. 21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto hthe thick darkness where God was. 22 And the Lord said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you ifrom heaven. 23 Ye shall not make kwith me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. 24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all lplaces where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will mbless thee. 25 And nif thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not †build it of ohewn stone: for if thou plift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. 26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

Deuteronomy 8:3 (KJV)
Although cases of well-being during periods of extreme deprivation or covered, The scriptural texts usually present a life in which people have adequate material provisions While remaining freed from greed and the obsession with material Goods --"freed" because of the presence of the kingdom of God "at hand" and always in action. Jesus's summary statement on this is found in Matthew 6:33. "But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things [including material needs] will be given to you as well.
