Maybe you had parents who made you stay with something you committed to long after the excitement ended. Maybe you are that parent, or you're experiencing a challenge today.
Often we're disappointed by unmet expectations, or we realize it's much harder than we thought. It's not always about the faith you have to start, but do you have the faith to stick with it until the end.
We are called to fight the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12). Once you start a faith journey, the pressure is on to get you to quit. There's a reason it's called a fight. Quitting seems like it would be easier, but it takes faith to stand.
In our verse today, Jesus said you are to "stand firm and win in life." Jesus was speaking to His disciples about persecution. Those same words give you hope in difficult situations. When you feel like giving up, you can expect the Holy Spirit to stay with you. He will give you the course and strength to stay with it and see His will in your life to be realized.
Today's One Thing
Whatever you're enduring in this season, take courage. God has provided all you need to stick with it. Invite the Holy Spirit to help you, and believe He has come to infuse you with strength and courage for the remainder of this journey.
