Dear Friends,
As a young Christian, I was involved in a singles' ministry. We were a small group with a lot of passion and dedication to reaching other singles for Christ. One Sunday, we had the leader of a large, national singles' ministry come and speak in our church. He was dynamic. His ministry was a national success, reaching tens of thousands of singles every year.
I immediately wanted to apply for a job, or even volunteer, with this ministry. So, I went to my pastor and told him my plans. I thought he would be excited for me. Here I was, willing to give my life to serve in this ministry. But his reply wasn't one of encouragement—at least not the encouragement I was expecting.
"You could go work with them, and it would be exciting. They would gladly have you. But what you are doing is running to a work that is already developed. I believe God is wanting to develop a new work with you," he replied. |

I honestly wasn't happy with his answer at the time. I wanted to jump on the success the ministry was having. And why wouldn't I? When we step out in faith to start a new work, it takes lots of faith, lots of effort, lots of time and money, and it may never actually work. Why would I take all of that risk and effort when I could simply join a proven ministry?
I trusted the wisdom of my pastor and declined joining the other ministry. And after lots of labor, the singles' ministry we were trying to start eventually faded away. It was hard and humbling. But I never forgot the words of my pastor. Is God leading me to be part of a new vision? |

Fast-forward 30 years to a local coffee shop where my friend Robert Fernandez and I decide to make an animated film of The Pilgrim's Progress. It was exciting to envision all that this film could be and all that it could accomplish. It was a new work. Never in my lifetime had I endured such hardships as the five years spent producing an independent film with limited experience and finances. There were many times I thought it would be a total failure. There were times we were literally days away from having to shut down for lack of funding, and I would have to tell our team and all our donors how sorry I was.
But God saw it through! Today the film has impacted millions. And it will continue to impact millions as we release it in new languages and continue with our free online viewing (during the time of sheltering in home) and free distribution on the mission field.
Those who gave financially during the five years of production stepped out in faith with me. They took a chance. They had vision for something that was unseen.
Currently, we receive donations every day to help us spread the message of The Pilgrim's Progress. It is easier to raise funds today than it was during the production years. This is completely natural as people see the completed film and want to invest in distributing it into the languages of the world. We rejoice with every donation we receive, as now the film is complete and we can focus on distribution.
While I was in production of The Pilgrim's Progress, I knew God was leading me to produce a much bigger project—to animate the entire Bible. I didn't know how that would even be possible while still trying to finish Pilgrim's. But I knew God had a bigger plan and Pilgrim's was just the forerunner of that plan. |

Today we are in production of the iBIBLE. While we have made significant progress, we are in the early stages. It is a massive undertaking, and it takes lots of faith and vision. We are again in the "production years," and those who contribute are investing and standing in faith with us. We hope to have the first version of iBIBLE released before the end of the year.
God calls some to see the fields are ripe for harvest. God calls some to write the "last checks" to finish a task. While God calls others to look at dry fields and see the potential of tilling, seeding, and fertilizing. Selfishly, sometimes I wish God had called me to the former. But He has called me to see a new vision and step out in faith, trusting Him every step along the way.
For those of you who have been part of any startup or new work, you know exactly what I am talking about. It can be hard work. But the rewards are 100-, even 1,000-fold!
When you contribute to The Pilgrim's Progress, you are helping us take a film to the world. The film is complete, and the fields are ripe for harvest! An estimated 1 million new people have watched The Pilgrim's Progress online just in April alone!
When you give to iBIBLE or join in as an iBIBLE producer with a monthly commitment, you are stepping out in faith with our team and the vision God has given me to produce a visual and interactive narrative of the entire Bible. You may not be able to watch the iBIBLE today, but your contributions are planting seeds that, like Pilgrims, will pay dividends beyond our wildest dreams!
God has shown me that we have two distinct ministry projects now. One is ripe for harvest while the other is breaking new ground—a new vision that could change the very nature of Biblical engagement around the world!
Please visit www.i.BIBLE today and watch the short video of me demonstrating the iBIBLE. Ask God if He is calling you to be part of a new vision with me, my wife Debra, and our entire team at RevelationMedia.
Have a Blessed Sunday!
