Dear Friends,
It is Easter Sunday. Churches are closed, many people have lost jobs, many are getting sick, and some are dying. Those are the physical facts. So, why am I encouraged?
If you were to grade the current health of the world today, what would you give it? In my lifetime I have never been told not to leave my house, and if I get the very contagious COVID-19 virus, I have higher risk of dying (due to my recent heart attack). From my perspective, and in my lifetime the state of wellness in America and in the world has never been worse.
I have friends who have lost jobs, friends who cannot plan a funeral, friends who have loved ones that are sick, and friends that are just scared not knowing what the future may hold. You are most likely in a similar situation.
So why am I encouraged?
As soon as our team heard that churches were closing, we immediately launched The Pilgrim's Progress online for free. We have since added 11 languages to the site. This week, we worked on loading all of our Torchlighters episodes online with an accompanying eight-page downloadable PDF. This will provide a full 16 days of viewing Christian Heroes of the Faith, with 16 days of fun activities and devotionals. (Watch for this to launch in the next 10 days.) |

We have also licensed more great Christian films that we will be launching later this month and into the summer, also for free, also in many languages.
But this still isn't why I am encouraged. Since its inception, RevelationMedia was called to serve ministry over money and churches over theaters. I'm encouraged because now we see so many other great media companies and ministries following suit. The rise in Christian content being made available online, and the viewership, is growing faster than any virus!
When I speak to my friends that lead other ministries, they are telling me that their donors are faithfully continuing to give, and they are receiving more testimonies than ever before. The state of many Christian ministries in the USA is strong!
Just this week we received many testimonies of people (including children) coming to Christ after viewing The Pilgrim's Progress! We are getting more testimonies now than when we first released the film! |

I was in Iraq during the ISIS occupation. While visiting families that had lost everything and were living in tents, I witnessed incredible joy. I asked one of the refugee camp leaders why they were so joyful. He said, "Before ISIS, we were Christians. Now, we know Christ!"
He explained how their faith was previously more traditional than relational and many told me they wouldn't trade what happened to them to lose what they had now.
So, while our state of physical wellness may be in shambles, the spiritual welfare of families is on the rise! This is what encourages me the most! Throughout history, God has often used difficulties to advance His kingdom, and I believe we are seeing that today.
