The powerful gift of the gospel

 

Dear webmaster220,  As this year comes to an end, I've been thinking a lot about the life change you and I have witnessed across the different points of contact at Harvest Ministry. I want to share the story of my friend Luke with you: I've been a searcher for as long as I can remember. I grew up without God in the home. I always felt different, sort of unconnected or unwanted, even with family, and the couple friends I did have…  Somehow always searching, I started listening to podcasts by Pastor Greg. They spoke to me in a way not many others had. I audiobooked Hope for Hurting Hearts, and recently watched Lost Boy. I openly cried many times during that movie. I felt aligned with Pastor Greg's pain and sincerity: Tough childhood, searching and uncertainty, and the deep loneliness he spoke of. At the end of Lost Boy I prayed, teary eyed, with Pastor Greg on screen, to Jesus. Accepting felt right and wonderful. I pray that this will stay in my heart, truly for the rest of my days.  Luke has experienced an incredible transformation because of the wonderful gift of the gospel. And because of the support of generous friends like you, we're able to create resources like our podcast, audiobooks like Hope for Hurting Hearts, and movies like Lost Boy to encourage and equip the lost.
