The psalmist, writing our verse for today, mentions some triggers. He mentions walking in the valley of the shadow of death. That could definitely trigger some anxiety. Throughout the Psalm he mentions God as a dependable guide, providing for him, calming him and restoring his soul.
As you learn the things that trigger anxiety in your life, you are better equipped to manage them in a way that can keep your emotions in peace.

Here are three things you can do to identify anxiety triggers:
- Tell yourself the truth of God's Word, Read Psalm 23 and list the things God does for you.
- Use a journal to write down when you experience anxiety and record what you think triggered it.
- Seek help from a health professional.
