To Delusion and Death
This content is drawn from: John 12:37-50
“When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code… nailing it to the cross.” Colossians 2:13-14
Lobsters are not intelligent creatures. At summer camp we found them one of the easiest to catch while night-fishing off the pier. One simply needed an old piece of rotten squid to drag along the seafloor and five minutes of patience; no hook required. Inevitably, a lobster would smell the putrid bit of squid and start chowing down. Once resistance is felt on the fishing line, one simply reels in slowly. Even when the lobster is out of the water, he will hold onto the rancid squid until he is on the pier. We would toss them back because lobster season is only in the winter, but catching a full lobster dinner would have been no problem.
This stupidity of a lobster should sound alarmingly familiar to us. As humans, we’re inclined to hold onto our sin until death. We want what we want, and we’re often indifferent about the consequences. It takes an act of God to pull us away from our sinful nature and give us a new life. God’s faithfulness continues to help us both avoid sin’s putrescent bait and seek holiness instead.
Pray for discernment. It is easy to lose ourselves in the things of this world when we’re not lost in the Word of God.

The following request applies to any of the christian ministries that are currently getting visitors from my blog:
I am currently blogging: https://webmaster220.blogspot.com I would like to place a banner on the right side of my home page that promotes your ministry If I do that and it helps your ministry grow and expand do you have a suggestion as to what type of commission or contribution could be paid to my ministry. The reason I am saying that is there are a lot of ministries out there that are buying advertising space online and yours could be one of them for all I know. I have been an affiliate marketer for years on my blog but no commissions have ever been earned even though I am doing everything required to be done to earn the commissions. My blog readers are just not interested in spending any money on any of the goods or services discussed in my banner ads and text links. To reply, use the contact form below this paragraph Thanks, Rick Livermore - Webmaster220
