Dear Pastor:
How can your church families turn a negative time into a positive time? No doubt, you are doing well at encouraging them to trust God. Here's a FREE resource for you to give them to make trust a daily practice.
This set of 30 Stuck at Home Devotionals is designed to help kids deal with challenges they may be facing during this difficult time. Each devotional has been carefully selected from the CEF Wonder Devotional Series to help children recognize that God is still in control, and to give them practical help in relying on Him. The devotionals can be found at cefonline.com/devos.
These devotionals will come to your email. You can print them for your child to read and think about, let them read it from your device, or forward it to their device. Reading and discussing each devotional along with your child would further enhance the value and may give you a springboard for further helpful conversation.

Children will someday look back on this time with flashbacks of fear and anxiety or with a sense of the goodness of God and a closer walk with Him.

I've been encouraging CEF staff all around the world to ask God what He has for them personally to learn from this current crisis. My hope is that someday, each of us will be able to look back and see what God did in our own hearts that brought Him glory. Children can also do this. Have "your" (church's) children been having a daily, personal quiet time with God? If not, this is a great time to start, hear from Him, and have a sweet memory someday of how they began a deeper walk with Him.
Something else I'd encourage your families to do is memorize a Scripture passage together during this time. A fun way to do it is to write the passage on a white board and put it up in the kitchen to read together at mealtimes. I suggest Philippians 4:4-8. It will set their minds on the goodness of God and go well with the Stuck at Home Devotionals.
May God bless you as you lead your flock through this time.
