This is a great sermon by Jim Perdue about Memorial Day titled, A Day to Remember - Memorial Day. In this message, Jim focuses in on Deuteronomy 8 and shares about the significance of this day and the importance of remembering. Here is a piece of this powerful sermon:
This is Memorial Day weekend and Memorial Day is a Day to Remember. It's a day set aside to honor all Americans who have died in war while serving their country. This day reminds us to remember.
God has an important reminder as well. Deuteronomy 8 issues a clear challenge to remember the Lord. This challenge is so strong and clear that I want to take a moment to read the entire chapter.
In what is known as part of Moses' farewell address to the people of Israel, God communicates a powerful, timely, and relevant truth. It can really be summed up on two simple words: Remember Me.
It sounds very simple but I believe if we lived each moment with a consciousness of God it would change everything we do. What does it mean to remember God in all things?
Download this moving sermon to study as you begin to prepare what you will be preaching this weekend.
