Once the entire Bible — or at least a portion of it — has been translated into a native language, it can do the work of sharing the Gospel not just with one person, but with an entire community. It can be passed from person to person, household to household, ensuring that everyone hears the Gospel as God intended it. Organizations like illumiNations are working to ensure that every human has access to the Word of God by providing a Bible in every written language by the year 2033. With an alliance of Bible translation partners, they're committed to ending Bible poverty in this generation. It's an ambitious goal — but they have a roadmap in place to realize this vision! What's more, the print Bible isn't sufficient to fulfill the Great Commission. There are over 3000 languages that have no written version, making a print Bible impossible. Additionally, there are over three quarters of a billion people who are functionally illiterate, meaning they could not read a Bible even if one were made available. That's why we need audio and video versions of the Bible, such as the iBIBLE - to make sure everyone has the opportunity to hear God's word! The Bible is one of God's strongest tools for sharing the Gospel with the unreached population. People need to not only hear ABOUT God, but to hear FROM him, directly through his living Word.
