Dear webmaster220.blogspot.com, Every June at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), we celebrate Internet Safety Month. This year, with stay-at-home orders keeping more children at home and online, it is critically important now more than ever that we make sure children are staying safe while using the internet. Unfortunately, our CyberTipline has received increased reports of online child sexual abuse materials during the pandemic. Our analysts have even seen conversations happening on the dark web between predators specifically discussing how to abuse and entice children to produce sexually explicit content during the stay-at-home orders. That's why this summer we encourage you to make internet safety a priority for your family. To help, we have released new NetSmartz presentations and a tip sheet that will help you support your child's safety online as they use their phones, video game consoles, and other connected devices. New Tip Sheet: Internet Safety at Home Update your household tech safety rules to our "new normal." Available in both English and Spanish! New Presentations: Teaching Modern Safety with 'Into the Cloud' Engage children in a conversation around online safety through two new presentations for children in kindergarten through 5th grade that accompany our newest web series, Into the Cloud. Perfect for assembly-sized groups or smaller, in class or after-school settings.
