Look at 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 in The Passion Translation: This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine— these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers. But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit.[c] Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. The Holy Spirit leads and guides us in all wisdom, sharing God's plan with us in His time as this life unfolds before us. The promise of the eternal future with Him brings hope and courage to us to press on in this life, to endure the hard things that come. The answers to your questions will all be answered, perhaps not all of them in this lifetime, but in the time to come.
Today's One Thing
Think about the questions you've been asking God. Knowing the why is never more important than knowing the who, although sometimes we can let that desire for the answer to overwhelm and overtake us. During your prayer time today:
- Express your heart to God.
- Tell Him how much you love and trust Him.
- Then truly let Him know that you trust Him and are willing to wait for His time in revealing the answers you have asked Him for.
