For several years we have provided day seminars at our Bible College especially for Israeli tour guides, but this year is the first time Israel's Ministry of Tourism has given us official approval and even publicized the event!
Due to the Coronavirus, we had to take precautions (some attended by Zoom and the 50 who came in person were divided into smaller groups), but the day was a great success, and we had some very encouraging feedback from those who attended.

65 Israeli Guides Get a Tour of Our Faith

Our Seminars Now Approved by Israel's Tourism Ministry
|
|
Like medical professionals, Israel's tour guides must keep their training up to date in order to renew their licenses. As we have done in previous years, our Bible College hosted a day of seminars for tour guides on the history of Messianic Judaism in Israel.
However, this year is the first time our training has an official stamp on it. Israel's Ministry of Tourism approved our seminars and even advertised for us.
Some 65 Israeli tour guides heard what we believe, taught from the pages of the Hebrew Scriptures. We explained what Messianic Judaism is, and why we believe that Yeshua is indeed our Messiah.
The subject areas are new and different for those who may been in the business for a long time. The majority were not believers, but heard Dr. Seth Postell's explanation of how we see the Messiah prophesied in the Psalms. For many it was their first encounter with Messianic Judaism. The seminars were on the following subjects:
1) The use of the Hebrew Scriptures in the New Testament - Dr. Seth Postell
2) Messianic Judaism in the book of Acts and Jewish literature - Dr. Golan Broshi
3) The History of Messianic Judaism in Israel from 1948 until today - Dr. Erez Soref

Is the God of Israel Mean?
The God of Israel is often portrayed as mean, and as fundamentally different from Jesus, the meek and mild. Many see God the Father as barbaric, capricious and cruel, not to mention primitive and irrational. But I like that God, and I don’t think He is mean. In fact, I love that God – and I want to explain why it is a mistake to think that He underwent some kind of radical personality change when He came in flesh as Yeshua the Messiah.
