The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman (CIS Ombudsman) invites stakeholders to participate in a webinar regarding U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services' (USCIS) H-1B electronic registration process for attorneys and representatives on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET. During this engagement, Citizenship and Immigration Services Acting Ombudsman Nathan Stiefel and staff will discuss with USCIS subject matter experts (SMEs) the H-1B electronic registration process using myUSCIS. To enter into the selection process for filing FY 2022 H-1B cap-subject petitions, petitioners (or their attorneys and representatives) are required to first register prospective beneficiaries electronically and pay the associated H-1B registration fees. During this webinar, USCIS SMEs will explain the electronic registration process and the CIS Ombudsman will examine lessons learned from the inaugural launch of the H-1B registration process in March 2020. The CIS Ombudsman's webinar will serve as an information sharing and gathering session. Participants may electronically submit questions and comments during the webinar. Where practical, the CIS Ombudsman will share submitted questions (without attribution) with USCIS for awareness and, if appropriate, to assist the agency in the development of its training and outreach materials. For more information about our office, visit the CIS Ombudsman's website. We look forward to hearing from you on these issues and invite the public to register for this webinar using the link below. |
