Our verse today comes from Psalm 91, a chapter in which the Psalmist reminds himself that as long as he lives close to God, he can trust God to keep him in all of his ways. The verse reminds us God is our refuge and fortress, whom we can completely trust. He will deliver you, shield you and protect you. Here are just a few of those promises of safety. -
In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8) ESV. -
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe (Proverbs 18:10). -
The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever (2 timothy 4:18). Today's One Thing Set a reminder in your phone each day this week to acknowledge God's promise to protect and keep you. Thank Him for keeping you safe, and pray that you follow His lead so that you arrive at each destination without accident. Go Deeper Failure to Seek or Follow Counsel |
