| | The CIS Ombudsman's Webinar Series: 2021 Annual Report Wednesday, July 14, 2021 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time | | The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman (CIS Ombudsman) invites stakeholders to participate in a webinar highlighting the CIS Ombudsman's 2021 Annual Report to Congress on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET. On June 30, the CIS Ombudsman's Office submitted its 2021 Annual Report to Congress. Each year, the CIS Ombudsman's Office conducts a substantive analysis of some of the most significant problems encountered by individuals and employers in the processing of immigration benefits and includes recommendations for improving U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services' (USCIS) administrative processes. During this session, the CIS Ombudsman's staff will provide an overview of the 2021 Annual Report to Congress. The following topics are included in this year's Annual Report: - The COVID-19 Pandemic and its Impact on USCIS Operations;
- Issuance and Coordination of Notices to Appear (NTAs);
- Petitions for Removal of Conditions for Conditional Permanent Residents;
- The Medical Disability Waiver Process;
- An Update on the Continuing Complications of USCIS' Digital Strategy; and
- International Student Programs
