U.S. 22 states back trans-identified student suing Florida school over bathroom policy The attorneys general of 22 states and the District of Columbia have signed onto a brief demanding that a Florida school district allow a transgender student to use the bathroom of their gender identity rather than their biological sex. The states and the District filed an amicus brief on Friday in the case of Drew Adams v. the School Board of St. John's County, Fla., arguing that the school district's rules on separate bathrooms for male and female students were discriminatory in nature. U.S. Lawsuit claims Mennonite teens suffered mental and physical abuse The Eastern Pennsylvania Mennonite Church and associated entities have been accused in a federal lawsuit of exploiting Mennonite boys and young men through a fictitious program they claimed would reform "troubled boys" but caused them physical and mental harm instead.
