New iBIBLE Studios! Dear Family,   When I think about how God has blessed RevelationMedia and our efforts to bring the first ever visual presentation of the entire Biblical narrative, iBIBLE, to the whole world, I am in awe of His provision. We have experienced significant growth over the last three years, and that has only been the case because of God's grace. Today, I am excited to share with you another example of this growth and blessing from the Lord. When we started our animation studio, we had three artists working around a small kitchen table in San Jose, Costa Rica. They were creating the initial character mockups and backgrounds for what would become our animated film, The Pilgrim's Progress.   After outgrowing the house we were renting, we moved into a state-of-the-art building. We furnished it with a break room, conference table, training center, and individual workstations. During this time, we also began recruiting junior artists to work on the iBIBLE project. iBIBLE studio in San Jose, Costa Rica before the shut down due to COVID-19.  Things were moving along nicely. We were recruiting new, young, artists and training them in storyboarding, concept art, line art, coloring, and animation for iBIBLE. We worked with two universities in San Jose to recruit the new artists, and we were even working with them to help develop new art classes.   Then COVID-19 hit, and the workers all set up shop in their homes. Then Amazon expanded its operations in Costa Rica, and seemingly overnight, it became the largest service sector employer in the country. While we were paying our artists a competitive pay, Amazon began to recruit artists offering large cash signing bonuses.   Thankfully, not one of our staff members left us to work for Amazon. They are extremely dedicated to the project, and it has always been our goal to pay them a fair wage. However, recruiting new artists has since become a challenge.   I began to pray about the situation, knowing that as more funding was provided for iBIBLE, I would need to be able to scale the team of artists. I also felt led to step out in faith and expand our production, even with our current budget. When I began to pray, I left the situation completely open without any preconceived ideas of where I should expand the studio. I was praying for God's leading and trusting Him. There are two major factors in establishing another studio for iBIBLE production. First and foremost, we work completely aboveboard. In Costa Rica and many other countries, it is common practice to pay workers a lower wage to save taxes and other fees, and then pay the remainder under the table. This is something I am not willing to do.   Secondly, we work to establish and train our own teams. This helps us maintain the iBIBLE standard of quality and keeps costs down as we eliminate the markup associated with hiring a commercial studio. It also allows us to make sure each worker is paid a fair (and aboveboard) wage.   As I continued to pray, I felt a leading to investigate expanding into Greece. I have great contacts there, and over the past few weeks I have conducted dozens of Zoom and conference calls with potential staff to help launch our studios.   Today, I am excited to announce that we are officially expanding our operations into Greece. Our production office will be in Athens, but we will allow the team to work from home, and we can recruit workers from all over the country. The core team is already in place, and the legal paperwork is underway. Our first few artists should be up and running in the next few weeks working on iBIBLE storyboards and animatics needed to compete the iBIBLE chapters on Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Today, I am excited to announce that we are officially expanding our operations into Greece. The costs are a little higher, but we have found a much larger workforce available and an excitement there for the iBIBLE project. And the economy in Greece allows us to pay a fair wage and still save significant funds over producing in the USA.   The Apostle Paul visits Athens in Scripture where he sees an altar with the inscription, "The Unknown God," and proceeds to tell them about Jesus (Acts 17:23). God willing, we will also declare Jesus to the world from Athens!   Please continue to pray for us as we step out in faith and undertake this expansion to increase our production of iBIBLE. While I trust in God's timing, the urgency of providing a visual Bible to the world is ever before me. And I know the enemy does NOT want iBIBLE, or any Bible project, to be freely available to the world. Most of these are already underway, and we are now looking into another 25+ languages. While we are only translating the first six chapters, this will serve as a model for every future chapter for translating, dubbing, and distribution.   It is not always easy to carry the burden of such a God-sized project, and I confess that my flesh can often get in the way of totally trusting God to provide the resources to plow forward. As we approach the holiday and giving season, I humbly ask that you join me and prayerfully consider what God is leading you to do. I truly believe God is leading some of our friends and ministry partners to play a more significant role in helping us produce iBIBLE. Currently, less than 5% of our income is spent on marketing and fundraising, and less than 8% on administrative and overhead. I have no desire to hire expensive people to raise funds, or to spend our funds on endless appeal letters. Our goal is to provide quality Christian content to the world, and at the core of this mission is iBIBLE.   Thank you for your continued prayers, and for the financial gifts that you have shared with us thus far.
