| Why are Christian authors turning to Vide Press? | | Are you writing a Christian book? Are you looking for a book publisher? Christian writers are turning to hybrid book publishers like Vide Press, a division of The Christian Post, to reach the world with their books. Vide Press books are distributed through 10,000+ retail outlets, and also on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ChristianBook.com, Target.com, Walmart.com, and through hundreds of other online booksellers. In addition to high-quality paperback and hardcover editions, Vide Press books are distributed as eBooks on Amazon's Kindle, Apple's iBooks, and on many other eBook platforms.
What is a hybrid book publisher?
Vide Press is not a self-publisher and behaves just like traditional publishers in all respects, except that its book projects are partially author-subsidized in exchange for a higher royalty.
Vide Press authors receive 70% of the profits from book sales! But Vide Press authors are not on their own. Although Vide Press's hybrid publishing program is partially author-subsidized, it's not a self-publishing model whereby the author is on his/her own. In this way, Vide Press is a hybrid book publisher.
Why are Christian Authors Turning to Vide Press?
Hybrid publishers like Vide Press, on the other hand, don't require agents or other middlemen. Vide Press reviews manuscripts on their merits and encourages new authors to make their voices heard. As a result, this type of submission process allows more voices to be heard and recognized for their manuscripts. That said, unlike vanity presses who will print anything that an author pays for, Vide Press doesn't accept every manuscript that walks in the door. We're looking for high-quality books written by thoughtful Christian writers. Vide Press is determined to maintain high quality standards, but at the same time, to give a wider variety of Christian authors a voice! |
