Dear Friend, Peaceful co-existence. It may sound like a good idea for society, but in the realm of spiritual warfare, it's an absolute no-no. We are in a pitched battle—as Derek Prince shows us in "Preventing Deception," the second installment of our 3-part series, The Battle of the Ages. What is the main battleground where the power of deception tries to dominate us? The main area of conflict is our own personality and make-up—that mysterious three-part mix of spirit, soul, and body. Understanding this mix is the helpful subject Derek covers in this letter. As Derek points out, our personalities are extraordinarily susceptible to the power of deception all around us. It especially tugs upon that part of our personality called "the soul." People in the soulish realm are carried away with little effort, setting themselves up for deception. This can be avoided only by distinguishing between the spiritual and the soulish realm. As you and I know, the battle doesn't get any easier as conditions intensify in the world around us. The temptation increases for us to give in to those "soulish" impulses that Derek talks about. We need to stand together in the battle, and all of us here at Derek Prince Ministries want to support you in this area of conflict. One way we can do that is by offering a supplemental teaching by Derek Prince on a related topic: "Are You Spiritual or Soulish?" It is our way of offering to help—our thanks for your prayers and financial support for the work we do. James 4:4 makes Derek's point very clear: "Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." No peaceful co-existence there. Like we said, it is a pitched battle, and the stakes are high. There is only one position to take, and that is with the Lord against the enemy. We trust this letter will strengthen you as you take your stand. Please click here for the full teaching letter and our free offer. All the best, Dick Leggatt President, DPM-USA P.S. Please make sure to download the supplemental teaching we offered: "Are You Spiritual or Soulish?" We know it will bring extra encouragement to you. |
