Good morning, Supporter of Care Net,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a thought-provoking article from Roland Warren, President and CEO of Care Net. Several things stood out to me in his article, but I've been thinking about one thing specifically. Roland writes, "There is a sleeping giant in the efforts to serve those at risk for abortion: the Church."
Since you follow Care Net, you should arm yourself with this article. Roland goes back to 2012 when he first started in his role at Care Net. He talks about both sides of the political aisle—and explains how some things have stayed the same—and how some things have changed.
But Roland doesn't stay in the political past; he pulls us to the present day, and what we're seeing from both sides of the political spectrum. Both sides seem to be missing the point. Have you noticed this?
And if both major parties have become essentially pro-choice, this raises a crucial question for pro-life Christians: How do we respond?
I hope you'll take a moment to read his post and recognize our need to refocus our efforts on addressing the root causes driving women to choose abortion, and the practical solutions we as Christians can pursue. As Roland makes clear, we have an urgent opportunity to refocus our efforts on loving and serving those who feel abortion is their only choice.
