Women like Maggie.
Maggie* recently called and spoke with Tabitha, one of our hotline coaches. She told Tabitha that she had taken the abortion pill regimen 3 days previously, bled a little, and then nothing. She and husband had hit a rough patch in their marriage and divorce was being discussed. At the time, she felt like taking the pills was the only real option. She coudn't raise a baby on her own.
After she took the pills, Maggie immediately began to regret her decision. She was having some pain and the process hadn't worked the way she thought it was supposed to. She went to the emergency room to find out whether she was still pregnant or not. She was terrified to know the answer. The doctors told her that the baby seemed to be fine and had a heartbeat. Maggie was overwhelmed with relief.
When Maggie called, she was still worried about losing the baby. She was still having some sharp pains. She had applied for insurance but was waiting for the cards to come so she could see an OB/GYN.
