She's serving nearly five years in prison

A group of pro-life activists have been unjustly sentenced to jail after being convicted of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinics (FACE) Act.

To Webmaster 220 Bible Study Blog (Rick),        A group of pro-life activists have been unjustly sentenced to jail after being convicted of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinics (FACE) Act.    These are people who have shown completely selfless, heroic motives and actions, trying to stop the murder of helpless preborn babies… yet they are held behind bars as if they are the wrongdoers.   One activist, Lauren Handy, is only 30 years old, and she's been sentenced to nearly five years in prison.  When she is released from prison after four years, she will be placed on probation, prevented from going anywhere near an abortion facility, and will have to submit to mental health assessment and treatment – all because she was trying to stop innocent babies from being brutally killed.   Lauren recently started a substack account from jail and explained why:   This August marks my 1st month at Tallahassee Federal Prison and 1 year of being incarcerated for a 2020 FACE Act violation. It has been a long journey that, in some ways, has only begun. [...] I've thought hard about how I wanted to start ProLifeJailSupport's first newsletter. The stories I could share after only one month would fill an entire book but instead, I have chosen this brief moment of vulnerability, solidarity, and gentleness to illustrate my purpose for being here: To make it easier for people to love and build community.   As word spreads around the compound about my charges, more and more people have approached me to share their abortion stories or ones of pregnancy loss. Complete strangers baring their souls and the most painful parts of themselves. These moments of connection strengthen my resolve to start abortion and pregnancy loss healing circles while here. Creating these "brave spaces" where we can come together and abide in each other's pain.    There's a lot to be said and done for this to happen but the first step is me asking you to subscribe to this newsletter and share it with others. The pro-life message has been all but forgotten to those who are imprisoned and this message of hope and love is desperately needed within the prison system. I have entered into a place of deep pain and suffering.
