"You have got this," and "I´ve got this," are common expressions. They intend to encourage and provide a positive attitude that may help us succeed. Yet, for all the good they may do, they do not capture what is going on behind the scenes. The universe spins towards a million different things while we are called to seek the Lord. The spiritual world may go unnoticed by the earth-bound hoards. But if we hear the faint call of God, He is saying there is a different way.
To walk in the ways of God, we need to get to know Him. This will include studying up on all we can about Him. But it does not stop there. There comes a point where we must actually meet Him. Seeking an encounter will start our walk with Him. We may not immediately be transported into full awareness of His presence. But we must at least get to a point where we sense Him here with us. That experience will be so sweet and thrilling. It will feed our faith.
From the moment we realize we have been in the presence of God, our walk will grow. We will seek more with Him. We will not be so focused on our world. The more we invest in our walk with the Lord, the less we will worry about what we walk through here. It is a blessed thing indeed to spend time with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Dear Lord, give the word. Let it be that we may come before You now. Open our awareness. Let us experience the thrill of Your immediate presence. When awareness sweeps over us that You are here, all else will fade. Then, with our spirits renewed, focused on You, and filled with Your Spirit, let us walk and talk with You. May every step we take be done together with You, our newest greatest Friend. Thank You for being so close. Amen
Hebrews 10:19-22 ESV / Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
John 14:23 ESV / Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
Matthew 5:8 ESV / "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Jeremiah 29:13 ESV / You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
1 Corinthians 3:16 ESV / Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
Acts 17:28 ESV / For "'In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your own poets have said, "'For we are indeed his offspring.'
Acts 3:20-21 ESV / That times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.
