A New Chapter for Our Nation

As our nation enters a new chapter, our shared mission remains unwavering.

To Webmaster 220 Bible Study Blog (Rick),       When a presidential election comes around, it always reminds me of our legacy—that we will be remembered as a country for what we did and who we became during this undeniably historic time. Today, I write to you from the perspective of a fellow American, who turns to our Lord and Savior amid a contentious political landscape. Please remember that our Heavenly Father, the Creator of the Heavens and Earth and everything (and everyone) in it, still sits on the throne and is in control. Our ministry will not stop focusing on our mission, to create a story of hope and empowerment for every woman facing an unplanned pregnancy, with the goal of making abortion unthinkable! I pray for a miracle, that this will happen in my lifetime, but remember that the evil abortion industry has indoctrinated society to think that abortion is healthcare for DECADES. I believe to the core of my being that in the future when our country looks back at the history books, people will be aghast at what happened here. The unnecessary deaths, the pain mothers face, and the lies that were believed in our time. Abortion will be remembered in the same way we look back and see slavery and the Holocaust. Yet, history has shown us the power of those willing to stand for what is right, even when it's not popular. In this moment, under new leadership, we have the chance to do just that. Together, we can strengthen our resolve, empower more women to embrace life, and advocate tirelessly for a world where every life is protected, celebrated, and given the opportunity to thrive. As we navigate these challenging times, let us turn to prayer and scripture for guidance. I encourage you to pray for our nation's leaders, from mayors and school board members to state representatives and your governor. Let us also remember to pray for those currently in the White House and for those who will be inaugurated in January. May our prayers bring wisdom and strength to those in positions of authority. Here are a few verses I have been praying over our country:   Psalm 2:10-11 - Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.  Proverbs 11:14 - For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.  Proverbs 21:1 - The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will.  Unfortunately, 7 out of the 10 states voted in favor of the abortion measures presented on their ballots. We've listed a summary of the abortion measures below, and in RED, you'll quickly see if the state is now pro-death or life-affirming. Arizona   Proposition 139 establishes a constitutional right to abortion in Arizona.  PASSED Colorado Colorado's Amendment 79 establishes a right to abortion and repeals an existing provision that allows public funds for abortion only if a pregnant woman's life is in danger. PASSED Florida  Florida's Amendment 4 would establish a constitutional right to abortion before fetal viability.  DID NOT PASS  Maryland  Maryland's Question 1 establishes a constitutional right to "reproductive freedom," including the choice to continue or end a pregnancy.  PASSED   Missouri  Amendment 3 grants a right to "reproductive freedom," protecting abortion access until viability.  PASSED  Montana   Constitutional Initiative 128 grants the right to make personal decisions about pregnancy, including abortion.  PASSED  Nebraska  Initiative 434 limits abortion access, banning it after 12 weeks with limited exceptions and Initiative 439 which protects the rights to abortion.   PASSED: Initiative 434 (Prohibit Abortions After the First Trimester Amendment)  DID NOT PASS: Initiative 439 (Protect the Right to Abortion Amendment)  Nevada  Question 6 constitutionally ensures the right to abortion until fetal viability  PASSED  New York  New York's Proposal 1 may not mention "abortion," but it creates groundbreaking protections for pregnant women's rights.  PASSED   If you'd like to get more involved with Save the Storks as a financial supporter, by getting your church involved or as a volunteer, click here: https://savethestorks.com/ Let's keep praying for a miracle.
