To Webmaster 220 Bible Study Blog (Rick),
Vice President Kamala Harris' defeat demonstrates that pro-abortion extremism isn't the winning message she thought it would be.
Despite campaigning for the most radical abortion policies in American history—like allowing abortions on babies through all nine months of pregnancy, eliminating the Hyde Amendment, and forcing healthcare professionals to perform abortions against their conscience—the American people rejected her anti-human vision.
President Donald Trump won a resounding victory against Kamala Harris's extreme agenda that promotes abortion at any time and for any reason. With this mandate, he carries the responsibility to protect the youngest and most vulnerable Americans.
Live Action is rallying Americans to urge President-elect Trump to take bold, decisive action for human rights on his very first day in the Oval Office, including:
- Rescinding executive orders that promote abortion, such as mandating abortion on military bases.
- Reinstating the Mexico City Policy to stop American tax dollars from funding abortions overseas.
- Pardoning peaceful pro-life activists selectively prosecuted by the current DOJ.
Additionally, we will also urge Congress to defund Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry, ensure the equal protection of preborn children, and make America the most welcoming nation in the world to raise a family.
This election cycle brought both significant victories and devastating losses for life at the state level. The people of Florida, South Dakota, and Nebraska rejected ballot initiatives that would have legalized abortion on demand through all nine months of pregnancy.
These were the most important political victories in the pro-life movement since the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and they illustrated that life is a winning issue when we have enough resources and bold political leadership.
In Florida, even when outspent by a hundred million dollars, abortion was defeated, and life was victorious. Governor Ron DeSantis's strong, courageous leadership played a crucial role in that win, and leaders around the nation must follow his example.
I am proud of Live Action's, together with our sister 501c4 organization, Live Action Victory, contribution to the victory in Florida.
Our impactful 30-second ads exposing the brutal reality of abortion procedures reached over 12.5 million viewers in Florida and Missouri. This was only possible because of Live Action's generous supporters. Thank you.
While we celebrate the victory in Florida, we mourn the heartbreaking losses in Missouri and six other states where voters enshrined a so-called "right" to kill preborn children into their state constitutions.
These results emphasize a critical truth: we need MORE resources and we need to fight even HARDER. Life will win if we are willing to double down with bold leadership and relentless advocacy.
Richard, Live Action's mission to change hearts and minds and save lives is more crucial than ever. LIFE WILL WIN if we are willing to invest in the resources and the bold leadership needed!
Thank you for fighting with us.
For Life,
Lila Rose
