| | ICE Launches Operation Midway Blitz in Honor of Katie Abraham to Target Criminal Illegal Aliens Terrorizing Americans in Sanctuary Illinois | | Thanks to Governor Pritzker’s sanctuary policies, TdA gang members, rapists, kidnappers, and drug traffickers are being released onto Chicago’s streets CHICAGO – Today, the Department of Homeland Security announced Operation Midway Blitz in honor of Katie Abraham who was killed in a drunk driving hit-and-run car wreck caused by criminal illegal alien Julio Cucul-Bol in Illinois. This ICE operation will target the criminal illegal aliens who flocked to Chicago and Illinois because they knew Governor Pritzker and his sanctuary policies would protect them and allow them to roam free on American streets. "DHS is launching Operation Midway Blitz in honor of Katie Abraham who was killed in Illinois by a criminal illegal alien who should have never been in our country. This operation will target the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens in Chicago,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “For years, Governor Pritzker and his fellow sanctuary politicians released Tren de Aragua gang members, rapists, kidnappers, and drug traffickers on Chicago’s streets—putting American lives at risk and making Chicago a magnet for criminals. President Trump and Secretary Noem have a clear message: no city is a safe haven for criminal illegal aliens. If you come to our country illegally and break our laws, we will hunt you down, arrest you, deport you, and you will never return.” Below are just a handful of the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens—including gang members, drug traffickers, kidnappers, and rapists—who were RELEASED back on to Illinois streets because of Governor Pritzker’s sanctuary policies. These criminal illegal aliens remain at large. Gabriel J Valle Galvez, a 47-year-old criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with convictions for battery, aggravated assault, DUI, trespassing, criminal damage to property, public indecency, violation of order of protection, and multiple assaults. Valle Galvez has been identified as a Latin King gang member. ICE lodged arrest detainers twelve separate times. Each time Cook County Jail did not honor the detainer and released him. Javier Carmelo Casillas Gomez, a 46-year-old criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with convictions for procuring prostitution, domestic violence/assault, drug possession, and an active warrant for drug manufacturing. ICE lodged an arrest detainer, with Cook County Jail. Victor Manuel Gomez-Atilano, a 45-year-old criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with prior deportations and convictions for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. ICE lodged an arrest detainer with the Illinois Department of Corrections. He was released despite the ICE arrest detainer. Ricardo Salas Muro, a 41-year-old criminal illegal alien from Mexico with convictions for burglary and drug possession. He was released multiple times despite ICE detainers lodged by ICE Chicago. Dany Daniel Hernandez Colina, a 27-year-old criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and Tren de Aragua gang member with repeat arrests for burglary and shoplifting. An immigration judge issued an order of removal for Colina in 2024, but he was released after Cook County Jail failed to honor the ICE detainer. Carlos Johendy Gonzales Montero, a 36-year-old criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and Tren de Aragua gang member with charges for reckless conduct, aggravated assault with a weapon, and armed violence. This gang member was released after Cook County Jail ignored ICE detainers. Oscar Remiez Vences, a 30-year-old criminal illegal alien from Mexico and member of the Two Six gang with convictions for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and domestic battery. Cook County Jail did not honor the ICE detainer and released him. Frankismar Oliveira-Infante, a 39-year-old criminal illegal alien from Venezuela with convictions for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault. He’s considered armed and dangerous after Cook County Jail failed to honor detainer. Rutilo Uriostegui Mojica, a 28-year-old criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with convictions for illegal reentry, drug possession, and multiple DUIs was released despite an ICE detainer. Pedro Enrique Colmenares Gonzalez, a 34-year-old criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and Tren De Aragua gang member with a past criminal history of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, sexual assault, domestic battery, and kidnapping. He was released multiple times despite ICE lodging a detainer. Abdul Raza Al Kaby, a 60-year-old criminal illegal alien from Iraq, with convictions for felonious assault, assault with a deadly weapon, and murder/intent to kill. Al Kaby had an order for removal by an immigration judge in 1997 but was repeatedly released from Illinois jails despite ICE detainers. | | # # # | | | | | The Supreme Court ruled that the Trump Administration can continue operations in Los Angeles to remove dangerous criminal illegal aliens from the streets | | 09/08/2025 | | U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

| | DHS Scores Major Victory at Supreme Court | | The Supreme Court ruled the Trump Administration can continue operations in Los Angeles to remove dangerous criminal illegal aliens from the streets WASHINGTON – The Department of Homeland Security landed a major legal victory Monday morning when the Supreme Court issued a stay in the case of Perdomo v. Noem. The ruling allows DHS to continue carrying out immigration operations in the Los Angeles area. “This is a win for the safety of Californians and the rule of law,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “DHS law enforcement will not be slowed down and will continue to arrest and remove the murderers, rapists, gang members, and other criminal illegal aliens that Karen Bass continues to give safe harbor.” The court ruled 6-3 in favor of the Trump Administration. With its decision, the court stayed a ruling by federal judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong in July blocking DHS from conducting immigration sweeps in Southern California. To the mainstream media’s chagrin, there are no “indiscriminate stops” being made. The Supreme Court simply applied longstanding precedent regarding what qualifies as “reasonable suspicion” under the Fourth Amendment. What makes someone a target of ICE is if they are illegally in the U.S. DHS enforces federal immigration law without fear, favor, or prejudice. In his opinion, Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s discussed the federal government’s duty to enforce immigration laws on the books and the fact that the Judicial Branch does NOT make those laws: - “The fact remains that, under the laws passed by Congress and the President, [illegal aliens] are acting illegally by remaining in the United States – at least unless Congress and the President choose some other legislative approach to legalize some or all of those individuals now illegally present in the country. And by illegally immigrating into and remaining in the country, they are not only violating the immigration laws, but also jumping in front of those noncitizens who follow the rules and wait in line to immigrate into the United States through the legal immigration process.”
- “[I]t is also important to stress the proper role of the Judiciary. The Judiciary does not set immigration policy or decide enforcement priorities. It should come as no surprise that some Administrations may be more laissez-faire in enforcing immigration law, and other Administrations more strict. Article III judges may have views on which policy approach is better or fairer. But judges are not appointed to make those policy calls.”

| | Secretary Noem Uncovers More FEMA Employees Using Government Systems to Engage in Sexually Explicit Behavior | | | Shocking new examples include FEMA staff sexting foreign nationals and uploading explicit images to adult websites using government devices, at government facilities WASHINGTON — Today, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem revealed newly uncovered cases of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) staff once again engaging in sexually explicit conduct on government devices at some of our government’s most classified facilities. The DHS Insider Threat Program (ITP) identified two additional FEMA employees who used their official government equipment to send graphic messages, access adult websites, and in one case, upload an image of male genitalia to an online sex platform. These individuals have been fired. “This behavior and misuse of government resources is absolutely disgusting.” said Secretary Kristi Noem. “The revolting actions of these employees, now the second group to be caught at FEMA engaged in such acts, represents a clear national security risk. These employees, who had access to highly sensitive systems, spent their duty hours sexting strangers, including foreign nationals, on encrypted government devices. Such conduct is unacceptable, and these employees have been terminated.” On August 27, 2025, the ITP identified a FEMA employee had accessed Facebook Messenger through the FEMA network to engage in multiple sexually explicit conversations with an individual believed to reside in the Philippines. Messages reviewed by the ITP included graphic sexual content, references to a Filipino dating group, and statements about plans to visit the individual overseas later this year. This marks the second recent case of egregious misconduct at Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center, following the firings of two other FEMA employees last week for similar abuse of government systems during duty hours. Between August 30 and 31, 2025, another FEMA employee used his official government workstation to access an adult website to engage in multiple graphic conversations and upload an image of male genitalia to the platform. DHS officials confirmed all observed activity occurred during work hours and originated from a FEMA-assigned device connected to an unclassified FEMA network. DHS continues to conduct sweeping investigations into FEMA’s network activity and employee conduct. The Department is actively reviewing internal policies, network monitoring protocols, and security clearances to ensure no employee abuses their access or violates public trust. | | ### | | | | | FACT CHECK: DHS Arrests Criminal Illegal Aliens, Not "Firefighters" as Media Falsely Claims | | 09/08/2025 | | U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

| | FACT CHECK: DHS Arrests Criminal Illegal Aliens, Not “Firefighters” as Media Falsely Claims | | Individuals arrested had prior charges for drug trafficking and illegally carrying a firearm WASHINGTON — The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) calls out the media for false reporting and completely misrepresenting an encounter between U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and two criminal illegal aliens. The media’s “firefighters” were actually criminal illegal aliens. | | Jose Bertin Cruz-Estrada, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, past charges include the delivery and selling of methamphetamine. Border Patrol previously encountered this criminal illegal alien 15 times. Cruz-Estrada has a final order of removal from April 2015 and was last removed from the United States on February 27, 2016. He chose to disregard our laws and illegally re-enter the country again. The other criminal illegal alien arrested has prior charges for illegally carrying a concealed weapon. “The two illegal aliens apprehended were not “firefighters” as the media claimed, nor were they responding to any active emergency—in fact they were CRIMINAL illegal aliens.” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Both had prior arrests. One for drug trafficking and one for illegally carrying a firearm. Once again, the media ran with a false narrative and left out the key details. When will the media stop peddling these false new stories to demonize our law enforcement?” The two illegal aliens apprehended were NOT firefighters. The two contracted work crews questioned on the day of their arrests were not assigned to actively fight the fire; they were there in a support role, cutting logs into firewood. The firefighting response remained uninterrupted the entire time. No active firefighters were questioned, and U.S. Border Patrol’s actions did not prevent or interfere with any personnel actively engaged in firefighting efforts. ### | | | | | DHS Blasts National Public Radio's Disgusting Race Baiting Smears Against America's Brave ICE Agents as Law Enforcement Arrests Worst of the Worst in Washington, DC | | 09/08/2025 | | | | | | DHS Blasts National Public Radio's Disgusting Race Baiting Smears Against America's Brave ICE Agents as Law Enforcement Arrests Worst of the Worst in Washington, DC Baseless accusations of 'racial profiling' by NPR and other outlets are contributing to a 1000% increase in assaults against ICE law enforcement WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today set the record straight on false allegations by National Public Radio (NPR) about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers engaging in "racial profiling" of illegal aliens. No record or evidence of these anonymously sourced claims exist. | "It's shameful that NPR would run anonymous and unsubstantiated allegations to smear our brave law enforcement as they are facing a more than 1000% increase in assaults against them. What makes someone a target of ICE is if they are illegally in the U.S.—NOT their skin color, race, or ethnicity." said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "Secretary Noem has unleashed ICE to target the worst of the worst—including gang members, murderers, and rapists. 70% of ICE arrests are of criminal illegal aliens who have been convicted or have pending charges in the U.S. President Trump and Secretary Noem are putting the American people first by removing illegal aliens who pose a threat to our communities." | | DHS Sets the Record Straight: ICE Does Not Raid Schools | | Contrary to fearmongering by the media and sanctuary politicians, ICE does not target schools or children | | WASHINGTON—After media force-feeding the public stories about parents and children being scared to return to school, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is setting the record straight: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) does NOT raid or target schools. “The media is sadly attempting to create a climate of fear and smear law enforcement. These smears are contributing to our ICE law enforcement officers facing 1,000% increase in assaults against them,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “ICE is not conducting enforcement operations at, or ‘raiding,’ schools. ICE is not going to schools to make arrests of children. Criminals are no longer be able to hide in America’s schools to avoid arrest. The Trump Administration will not tie the hands of our brave law enforcement and instead trusts them to use common sense. If a dangerous illegal alien felon were to flee into a school, or a child sex offender is working as an employee, there may be a situation where an arrest is made to protect public safety. But this has not happened.” The facts are DHS’s directive allowing ICE to go into schools gives our law enforcement the ability to do their jobs. Our agents use discretion. Officers would need secondary supervisor approval before any action can be taken in locations such as a school. We expect these to be extremely rare. President Trump and Secretary Noem empowered the brave men and women of ICE to enforce our immigration laws and catch criminal illegal aliens—including murders, rapists, and pedophiles—who have illegally come into our country. ### | | | | | PHOTO RELEASE: Secretary Noem Visits the United Kingdom for Five Country Ministerial to Strengthen National Security Efforts with Key Allies | | 09/09/2025 | | U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

Office of Public Affairs | DHS Announces Millions in FEMA Grant Disbursements to Bolster North Carolina’s Recovery from Tropical Storm Helene | FEMA announces the disbursement of millions in reimbursements for vital infrastructure and community restoration projects in North Carolina Washington – Today, Secretary Noem announced the disbursement of critical Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grants to support North Carolina’s recovery efforts following Tropical Storm Helene. These funds, totaling over $12 million in reimbursement for vital infrastructure and community restoration projects, continue to underscore the Trump administration’s commitment to put Americans first, one community at a time. Unlike the bureaucratic failures of the prior administration, which left American communities drowning in red tape, DHS, FEMA, and allies in Washington like Senator Ted Budd, and Chairman Michael Whately, are delivering swift, decisive action to restore our communities. These grants empower North Carolina’s state and local governments, schools, and organizations to repair critical infrastructure, and protect our citizens. “The American people deserve a government that fights for their survival and prosperity, not one that kneels to bureaucratic elites. With the leadership of President Trump, Senator Budd, and Chairman Whatley, DHS and FEMA are delivering for North Carolina," said Secretary Kristi Noem. “Under President Trump’s leadership, DHS is restoring our nation’s strength, securing our communities, and ensuring no American is left behind.” These grants include millions in reimbursements for critical infrastructure repairs to restore essential services and fortify North Carolina against future disasters, including millions in infrastructure and network upgrades, as well as much needed resources to replace and rebuild critical community projects across the state. These disbursements are part of a broader $322 million FEMA commitment to North Carolina from the Trump Administration and bring the total recovery reimbursements since July 14 alone to over $161 million. This funding includes $65.2 million to the North Carolina Department of Transportation for vital road repairs in Buncombe, McDowell, Mitchell, Wilkes, and Yancey counties; $5.9 million to the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources to restore Chimney Rock State Park’s roads, bridge, and café; $5.8 million to the Town of Beech Mountain for repairs to washed-out sections of Buckeye Creek Road and Charter Hill Road; $2.4 million to EnergyUnited Electric Membership Corporation for emergency measures to protect and repair the electrical power distribution system; $1.5 million to Asheville Christian Academy for remediation of three school buildings flooded by Swannanoa River overflow; $1.4 million to the Town of Old Fort for permanent repairs to public facilities; and $1 million to Haywood County for removing over 1.3 million cubic yards of debris. This funding is a testament to President Trump’s vision of a streamlined, America First FEMA that cuts through red tape and delivers results for American citizens, and we’re just getting started. | | # # # | | | | | Pedophiles, Abusers, Rapists, and Other Violent Thugs Arrested in Operation Midway Blitz | | 09/10/2025 | | U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

| | DHS Observes the 24th Anniversary of September 11, 2001 On the 24th anniversary of September 11, DHS pays tribute to those who lost their lives and the families they left behind during this unimaginable tragedy | | WASHINGTON – Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) joins the nation in remembering the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. The history of our nation was altered forever. Twenty-four years later, the Department honors the courage and bravery of the 9/11 first responders, the resilience of the survivors, and the steadfast support of the everyday Americans who continue to inspire our work. DHS was founded in the wake of 9/11 to strengthen our nation’s defenses against those who would seek to harm the United States. Our mission today remains the same: protect the homeland and keep Americans safe. Across the country, DHS personnel are participating in observances to mark this solemn anniversary. From law enforcement officers and first responders to intelligence analysts and cybersecurity experts, the DHS workforce continues to safeguard the American people every single day. "Today, we solemnly observe the 24th anniversary of the horrendous terrorist attacks that changed the trajectory of our country forever. On that terrible day, 2,977 people lost their lives: 2,753 in New York, New York, 184 in Arlington, Virginia, and 40 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania," said Secretary Kristi Noem. "The impact of the attacks that rippled throughout the nation in the days, weeks, months, and years that followed is still with us today and so is our resolve to never forget and never again let something like this happen. We honor the sacrifices that our firefighters, law enforcement, and medical workers made 24 years ago. We continue to pray for and support the families of all those impacted and those who suffered losses - they will never be forgotten. Never again." On this day, DHS reaffirms its promise: Never forget. Never again. | | # # # | | | | | DHS Statement on ICE Officer Seriously Injured in Line of Duty and Shooting in Chicago During Traffic Stop | | 09/12/2025 | | U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

| | DHS Statement on ICE Officer Seriously Injured in Line of Duty and Shooting in Chicago During Traffic Stop ICE law enforcement is facing a 1000% increase in assaults against them as they carry out enforcement operations | | CHICAGO — This morning, while carrying out an enforcement operation targeting a criminal illegal alien, the alien resisted arrest, attempted to flee the scene and dragged a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer a significant distance with his car. The officer sustained multiple injuries and is in stable condition. The illegal alien was pronounced dead. “We are praying for the speedy recovery of our law enforcement officer. He followed his training, used appropriate force, and properly enforced the law to protect the public and law enforcement,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Viral social media videos and activists encouraging illegal aliens to resist law enforcement not only spread misinformation, but also undermine public safety, as well as the safety of our officers and those being apprehended.” Further details: ICE officers conducted a vehicle stop to arrest Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez. He refused to follow law enforcements commands and drove his car at law enforcement officers. One of the ICE officers was hit by the car and dragged a significant distance. Fearing for his own life, the officer fired his weapon. The target of the enforcement operation was Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez, a criminal illegal alien with a history of reckless driving. He entered the country at an unknown date and time. | | # # # | | | | | ICE Lodges Detainer for Depraved Criminal Illegal Alien from Cuba Charged with Murder in Beheading of Victim with a Machete in Dallas | | 09/12/2025 | | | | | | ICE Lodges Detainer for Depraved Criminal Illegal Alien from Cuba Charged with Murder in Beheading of Victim with a Machete in Dallas This barbaric criminal with a rap sheet that includes child sex abuse was released into America by the Biden Administration WASHINGTON – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) today announced it lodged a detainer for the federal arrest and removal of a criminal illegal alien from Cuba who was taken into custody by local authorities in Dallas, Texas on homicide charges. On September 10, Yordanis Cobos-Martinez—an illegal alien from Cuban with a rap sheet including child sex abuse, grand theft of a motor vehicle, false imprisonment and carjacking—was arrested by Dallas Police Department at a motel in Dallas for murder. Cobos-Martinez allegedly used a machete to behead a merchant he had an argument in front of the merchant's spouse and child. Reportedly, Cobos-Martinez then kicked the head of the victims 'around like a soccer ball.' ICE has lodged the detainer with the Dallas County Jail, where this criminal illegal alien is being held. "This vile monster beheaded this man in front of his wife and child and proceeded to kick the victims' head on the ground. This gruesome, savage slaying of a victim at a motel by Yordanis Cobos-Martinez was completely preventable if this criminal illegal alien was not released into our country by the Biden Administration since Cuba would not take him back," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "This is exactly why we are removing criminal illegal aliens to third countries. President Trump and Secretary Noem are no longer allowing barbaric criminals to indefinitely remain in America. If you come to our country illegally, you could end up in Eswatini, Uganda, South Sudan, or CECOT." | Yordanis Cobos-Martinez has a past final order of removal to Cuba. He was most recently in ICE Dallas custody at the Bluebonnet Detention Center until he was released on an Order of Supervision on January 13, 2025—under the Biden administration. This barbaric criminal was released because Cuba would not accept him because of his criminal history. | | | | | | In Just 3 Weeks, Secretary Noem Saves the American Taxpayer Over $30 Million | | 09/12/2025 | | | | | | In Just 3 Weeks, Secretary Noem Saves the American Taxpayer Over $30 Million Secretary Noem's work to cut government waste, fraud, and abuse saved the American taxpayer $1 million per day in just 3 weeks WASHINGTON – Since August 22, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has cancelled multiple frivolous and unnecessary government contracts and grants, saving the American taxpayer more than $30 million dollars. The $31,692,166 million savings in this short amount of time is the result of de-obligated contracts and grants, and it reflect the whole-of-government effort ordered by President Trump to cut down on waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government. Secretary Noem has worked from day one to systematically slash the size of government and eliminate wasteful spending at the Department of Homeland Security — saving taxpayers more than $12 billion in her first 200 days. Most importantly, she accomplished all of it while ramping up law enforcement, border security, and immigration enforcement operations. "In just three weeks, Secretary Noem has saved the taxpayer more than $30 million. That's more than $1 million per DAY," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, it is no longer open season on the American taxpayer at DHS. The Trump administration is draining the swamp, restoring accountability to the federal government, and putting hardworking Americans FIRST again." Secretary Noem personally reviews and approves all DHS contracts over $100,000. This policy has saved U.S. taxpayers roughly $50 million every day since she took office on January 25, 2025. Despite constant criticism of this policy from the media and D.C. bureaucrats, results like these speak for themselves. These savings figures don't even include the additional savings from DHS's immigration enforcement efforts since President Trump resumed office. The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimates the net cost of illegal immigration at the federal, state, and local levels was at least $150.7 billion annually as of early 2023. This translates to an average cost of $8,776 per illegal immigrant or U.S.-born child of illegal immigrants per year. An estimated decrease of 1.6 million illegal aliens in the country has resulted in an additional $14 billion in cost savings per year. | | | | | | DHS Statement on ICE Officer Injured After Illegal Alien Hit Him with Car while Trying to Avoid Arrest | | 09/15/2025 | | | | | | DHS Statement on ICE Officer Injured After Illegal Alien Hit Him with Car while Trying to Avoid Arrest These dangerous attempts to evade arrest come after sanctuary politicians held webinars on how to avoid arrest and openly encouraged illegal aliens to defy ICE MIAMI — Yesterday, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Homestead, Florida, was injured in the line of duty by Henry Isaul Garcia, an illegal alien from Guatemala, trying to evade arrest. During a traffic stop the illegal alien put his car in reverse hitting an ICE officer in the leg—nearly crushing him. After crashing into multiple ICE vehicles, the driver sped off into incoming traffic and collided with a black utility van. The illegal aliens exited the vehicle and attempted to flee law enforcement on foot. ICE officers responded to the scene of the vehicle accident, rendered aid, and detained the dangerous illegal aliens. All of the illegal aliens were transported to a local hospital for evaluation, discharged, and are now in ICE custody, pending removal proceedings. The illegal aliens arrested include: - Henry Isaul Garcia illegally entered the United States on or about March 10, 2022, near Eagle Pass, Texas.
- Ruben Sales Garcia illegally entered and was removed from the United States in 2007. He has illegally reentered on an unknown date and at an unknown location.
- Marlon Gomez Hernandez illegally entered the United States in 2018 at an unknown date and at an unknown location.
- Jorge Perez Martin illegally entered the United States on an unknown date and at an unknown location.
The ICE law enforcement officer is in stable condition. "These dangerous attempts to flee law enforcement come after sanctuary politicians have openly encouraged and provided tips for how to evade our ICE officers," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "We are praying for the speedy recovery of our law enforcement officer. The violence against our brave ICE law enforcement must come to an end. This is the second incident in a week where an officer was injured while arresting an illegal alien. This type of rhetoric is contributing to our ICE officers facing a more than 1000% increase in assaults against them. It is time to tone down the rhetoric." This is the second car accident in less than a week caused by illegal aliens trying to evade arrest. These dangerous attempts to evade arrest come after sanctuary politicians held webinars and provided resources and tips for how to openly defy ICE: - Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hosted a webinar in February providing tips for illegal aliens to evade arrests at homes, workplaces, or in public.
- Dan Goldman posted an video online calling on illegal aliens to make a plan for ICE encounters.
- Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass issued multilingual flyers and online resources advising illegal aliens on how to evade arrest.
- California Governor Gavin Newsom released guides and sanctuary laws advising illegal aliens how to recognize ICE, block entry, and defy arrest.

| | DHS Announces Additional $64.2 Million to Support Helene Recovery in North Carolina in Addition to the $3 Billion Funded Since President Trump Took Office Secretary Noem is delivering on President Trump’s promise to come to the aid of North Carolina | | WASHINGTON – Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem announced an additional $64.2 million for North Carolina Hurricane Helene recovery projects. In the last two months, North Carolina has been provided more than $228 million in recovery reimbursements. This represents a dramatic shift since the previous administration abandoned Helene victims almost one year ago. The funds, distributed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), are being used to fund more than 200 state and local recovery projects, including road repairs, critical infrastructure restoration, debris removal, and other emergency actions taken to protect life and property following the storm. “Our message to North Carolinians is clear: we are in your corner,” said Secretary Kristi Noem. “Since Jan. 20, 2025, FEMA has delivered over $380 million in Public Assistance to North Carolina and $2 billion for debris removal since Jan. 20, totaling $3 billion since Hurricane Helene making our efforts one of the largest debris missions ever. North Carolina’s families have received $509M in direct aid, $209.4M in NFIP claims, and vital housing support for 5,919 households. I am proud to have worked closely with Senator Ted Budd, and Chairman Michael Whatley to provide these much needed funds to North Carolinians, and we’re just getting started.” These funds include: - $35.4 million million to the North Carolina Department of Transportation for road repairs
- $10.7 million to the City of Asheville
- $4.6 million to Buncombe County
FEMA is reimbursing these costs at no less than a 90% federal share through its Public Assistance program which provides funds for state and local governments response and recovery work. Since Jan. 20, 2025, nearly $390 million in Public Assistance reimbursements have been approved to support the recovery efforts in North Carolina. | | # # # | | | | | DHS Announces Six Major Disaster Declarations Approved Last Week, Supporting Recovery Across Nation | | 09/15/2025 | | U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

These declarations unlock federal assistance to supplement state, tribal, and local efforts, providing resources to help survivors and communities rebuild and recover. The six major disaster declarations cover the following areas and events: Crow Tribe of Montana: Severe storms, straight-line winds, and flooding Kansas: Severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding North Carolina: Tropical Depression Chantal North Dakota: Severe storm, tornadoes, and straight-line winds Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe (South Dakota): Severe storm and flooding Wisconsin: Severe storms, straight-line winds, flooding, and mudslides “These disaster declarations reflect President Trump DHS’s unwavering commitment to supporting communities in their time of need,” said Secretary Kristi Noem. “DHS is working hand-in-hand with state, tribal, and local partners to enable them to deliver vital resources and assistance to help survivors recover and rebuild stronger, more resilient communities.” | | # # # | | | | | DHS Removes Restrictions on Hungary's Designation in the Visa Waiver Program | | 09/16/2025 | | | | | | DHS Removes Restrictions on Hungary's Designation in the Visa Waiver Program Restoring full Visa Waiver Program status appropriate after Hungary took steps to improve its security measures WASHINGTON – Today, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem has announced that Hungary will have its status in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) fully restored, following the completion of steps taken to address security vulnerabilities. This decision reverses restrictions previously placed on Hungarian citizens' ability to travel under the VWP, as well as their ability to use the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). In early 2021, DHS revoked already-issued ESTAs of all Hungarian passport holders born outside of Hungary and continued to deny new ESTA applications to Hungarian applicants born outside of Hungary. In August of 2023, the Biden Administration reduced the ESTA validity period for Hungarian travelers from two years to just one year, while also limiting ESTAs to a single use. Now that the government of Hungary has taken action requested by the U.S. government to address security vulnerabilities, the restrictions imposed by the previous administration have been lifted, and Hungarian citizens now have expanded access to travel between Hungary and the United States. Hungarians will be able to apply for an ESTA with a two-year validity period which can be used for multiple entries by September 30, 2025. "The United States and Hungary have a strong security partnership, and that commitment is reflected in the actions that Hungary has taken to meet the security standards of the Visa Waiver Program," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "Like President Trump, Prime Minister Orbán is dedicated to keeping his borders secure and vetting who comes into his country. When nations secure their borders, they're making the entire world a safer place – and they should be rewarded for doing so. Thanks to President Trump and Secretary Noem's efforts, DHS is reinstituting integrity into our immigration system." This decision reaffirms the integrity of the VWP and facilitates secure travel between the United States and Hungary. Only nations with the highest standards of security are granted visa-free access to the United States. | | | | | | ICE Receives More than 150,000 Applications to Join ICE Law Enforcement to Help Remove Worst of the Worst Criminal Illegal Aliens from U.S. | | 09/16/2025 | | U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

| | DHS Calls for Governor Newsom to Veto California’s "No Secret Police" Act | | Attacks and demonization of our brave law enforcement are contributing to our officers facing a more than 1000% increase in assaults against them WASHINGTON — The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) calls on Governor Gavin Newsom to veto the “No Secret Police Act,” which bans law enforcement officers from wearing protective face coverings to conceal their identities. Forcing officers to show their full faces puts them and their families at risk of being doxed and targeted by vicious criminals, including gang members, terrorists, cartel members, and murderers. “Sen. Scott Wiener’s legislation banning our federal law enforcement from wearing masks and his rhetoric comparing them to 'secret police'—likening them to the Gestapo—is despicable. We urge Governor Newsom to condemn this rhetoric and veto this bill. Our federal law enforcement officers face a 1000% increase in assaults against them, unprecedented online doxing, and are having cars used as weapons against them. Once again sanctuary politicians are trying to outlaw officers wearing masks to protect themselves from being doxed and targeted by known and suspected terrorist sympathizers,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “The men and women at CBP, ICE, and all of our federal law enforcement agencies put their lives on the line every day to arrest violent criminal illegal aliens to protect and defend the lives of American citizens.” When our heroic law enforcement officers conduct operations, they clearly identify themselves as law enforcement while wearing masks to protect themselves from being targeted by highly sophisticated gangs like Tren de Aragua and MS-13, criminal rings, murderers, and rapists. Our officers also wear vests marked with ICE/ERO or Homeland Security, and are flanked by vehicles marked with the name of the department. | | On Constitution Day, President Trump Urges Naturalized Citizens to Honor and Respect American Law and Traditions | | Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, citizenship naturalization is once again treated like the sacred trust it is WASHINGTON – Today, on Constitution Day, President Trump issued a letter congratulating newly naturalized citizens taking the Oath of Allegiance and urging them to “safeguard, honor, and respect” the American Constitution. “The United States is now your homeland, and you stand as part of one Nation under God,” wrote President Trump. “You have pledged your heart to America-and in return, she offers the boundless promise of freedom and opportunity.” U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will present this letter to all new citizens during their naturalization ceremonies. This is part of the Department of Homeland Security’s ongoing fight to restore sanity and common sense to our immigration system, which was deliberately abused by the Biden administration to flood the United States with criminal illegal aliens and others who work to subvert American peace and security. “After years of abuse, sanity is returning to our immigration system,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “American citizenship is a sacred trust, and it should never be treated likely. To be an American citizen is to commit yourself to upholding our values, culture, and Constitution. We are doing everything in our power to make sure that anyone who is offered the privilege of becoming an American citizen fulfills their obligation to their new country.” Under President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, USCIS has implemented much-needed reforms to the naturalization process. Now, aliens who apply for immigration benefits, including naturalization, are being vetted for Anti-American activity, support for terrorism, and other potentially disqualifying behavior. This newly enhanced vetting process includes reinstating neighborhood interviews of potential new citizens, considering whether aliens have made positive contributions to their communities, determining good moral character, and verifying they have never unlawfully registered to vote or unlawfully attempted to vote in an American election. USCIS has also overhauled the citizenship test, making it more difficult to ensure that only those who are truly committed to the American way of life are admitted as citizens. | | # # # | | | | | CCHT Chronicle: September 2025 | | 09/17/2025 | | The Monthly Newsletter of the Center for Countering Human Trafficking | | Back-to-School Safety: Protecting Youth from Traffickers This School Year September is a month full of exciting transitions; the seasons are changing, kids are heading back to school, and many of us are easing back into routines at work after summer vacations. With everything in flux, it's easy for things to get lost in the shuffle. Unfortunately, these are the conditions that human traffickers often try to exploit. While the start of a new school year brings renewed structure, it can also be a time when children might feel overwhelmed or isolated as they try to adjust to new schedules and environments. In this transitional time, seemingly ordinary parts of a child's day, such as the walk home from school, the wait at the bus stop, after-school activities, or time spent online, can become opportunities for traffickers to make contact. This back-to-school season, it's critical that parents, caretakers, educators, and youth professionals know how to spot the signs of exploitation to help prevent youth trafficking. Fighting Labor Trafficking Earlier this month we celebrated Labor Day, recognizing the important contributions of workers to our nation's prosperity. However, it's also important to acknowledge the reality that not all workers in our country are afforded the same freedom from exploitation at work—forced labor still exists and persists right here in the United States. Traffickers often use force, fraud, or coercion to compel victims of all ages, races, sexes, and nationalities to work against their will. According to data from the National Human Trafficking Hotline, in the United States, domestic work like cooking, cleaning, and caregiving is the most common type of forced labor, followed by farm work and construction. Many of us are also unknowingly complicit in forced labor because it's hidden in the global supply chain. Due to the lack of transparency in international trade, everyday goods we buy and use are often produced with forced labor overseas and imported into our country. Understanding the indicators of forced labor and raising awareness of harmful labor practices are critical first steps to ending this type of trafficking. The Center for Countering Human Trafficking, along with Blue Campaign, work closely with other U.S. Department of Homeland Security components, the U.S. Department of Labor, and international organizations to educate the public about what labor trafficking looks like, and how to report it. ICE New York Investigation Lands Leader of Mexican Sex Trafficking Organization 188 Months in Prison NEW YORK — A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigation resulted in the recent sentencing of Hugo Hernandez-Velazquez, the leader of a Mexican sex trafficking organization, to 188 months imprisonment for sex trafficking multiple victims by force, fraud and coercion. The defendant was extradited from Mexico to the United States in February 2021. ICE Homeland Security Investigations New York Special Agent in Charge Ricky J. Patel and Joseph Nocella, Jr., United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, announced the sentence. Hernandez-Velazquez, 48 of Mexico, pleaded guilty to one count of sex trafficking in April 2023. He will be deported after completing his sentence. "For nearly a decade, the defendant and his family oversaw a vicious sex trafficking campaign wrought with violence, manipulation, coercion, and outright force against women whom they lured into romantic relationships through false promises of love and support," stated Patel. "Every day, victims are targeted for human trafficking and other vile forms of exploitation and abuse, often at the hands of their own spouses or purported caretakers. Today's sentencing is no doubt a direct result of the bravery of each survivor who courageously spoke up. Together with our partners, HSI is unflinchingly committed to investigating and vigorously pursuing anyone, anywhere, who sexually exploits the very individuals they claim to care for." Patel credited HSI New York's Human Trafficking Task Force for leading the investigation of the Hernandez-Velazquez sex trafficking organization. Additionally, he thanked the HSI Mexico City attaché office, the Department of Justice's Office of International Affairs, the U.S. Department of State, Interpol, International Affairs Department of the Attorney General's Office in Mexico, the Law Enforcement Unit of the State of Tlaxcala Attorney General's Office, Interpol Mexico, and the New York City Police Department for their assistance; "For years, the defendant and his siblings operated an illegal, abusive, and exploitative sex trafficking operation that stripped victims of their dignity and subjected them to inhumane violence," stated Nocella. "It is my hope that the prosecution of their tormentors and the punishment meted out will provide a measure of closure for the brave survivors who assisted the investigation and will help them on their path to healing." Between approximately 2001 and 2009, the defendant and his siblings, Ernesto, Giovanni and Arcelia Hernandez-Velazquez, ran the Hernandez-Velazquez sex trafficking organization based in Mexico. The family organization used force, fraud and coercion to cause young women in Mexico to engage in prostitution in the United States. Members of the family organization lured victims into romantic relationships through false promises of love and support. The victims were pressured to travel to the United States with promises of a better life with their trafficker. Once smuggled into the United States, the victims were forced to engage in prostitution. The family organization maintained a base in Queens, New York, where victims would reside while they were forced to work in New York and other states, including Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. These discussions focused on preparations for two major international sporting events set to take place in San Francisco—the Super Bowl and the World Cup. Both events are expected to draw massive crowds, creating unique challenges for public safety and opportunities for traffickers to exploit vulnerable populations. During the meeting, participants received an overview of the Center for Countering Human Trafficking's (CCHT) approach to large-scale events. This included a review of best practices for coordinating across federal, state, and local partners, as well as insights into intelligence-sharing and proactive investigative strategies. The Blue Campaign highlighted how its resources—such as awareness materials, training modules, and partnerships with industry stakeholders—can strengthen frontline personnel's ability to recognize and respond to trafficking indicators in fast-paced, high-traffic environments. A central focus of the conversation was collaboration. HSI San Francisco and the U.S. Attorney's Office emphasized the importance of strong interagency partnerships to ensure seamless operations before, during, and after these high-profile events. By combining investigative expertise with public awareness tools, the agencies aim to safeguard communities, protect potential victims, and disrupt traffickers who may seek to exploit the large influx of visitors. Looking ahead, the CCHT will continue to work closely with HSI San Francisco to conduct targeted counter-trafficking operations, community outreach, and specialized training initiatives leading up to both events. These efforts underscore DHS's commitment to a victim-centered, prevention-driven approach that not only strengthens enforcement but also raises public awareness. By preparing now, the Department is ensuring that when the world comes to San Francisco, the city is ready to stand as a model for coordinated, proactive action against human trafficking. | | @DHS Center for Countering Human Trafficking on LinkedIn | | | | | | | DHS Calls for Media and Far Left to Stop the Demonization of President Trump, His Supporters, and DHS Law Enforcement | | 09/17/2025 | | | | | | DHS Calls for Media and Far Left to Stop the Demonization of President Trump, His Supporters, and DHS Law Enforcement This hateful rhetoric is contributing to political violence in our country and a more than 1000% increase in assaults against our brave ICE law enforcement WASHINGTON – Following the evil act of political violence witnessed in the country last week and two attempts to resist arrest resulting in severe injuries of ICE law enforcement officers—one being drug by a car and another hit by a car—DHS is calling on the media, leftist groups, and sanctuary politicians to end their demonizing DHS law enforcement. This hateful rhetoric is inspiring political violence in our country and assaults against our brave DHS law enforcement. The agents sustained injuries from pepper spray deployed by rioters and a jammed finger. One individual, Adrian Guerrero—a U.S. citizen—was charged with assaults and destruction of federal property. According to court filings, Guerrero slashed the tire of a government vehicle and threatened to stab a law enforcement officer. While standing arm's length from the officer, Guerrero made repeated threats against stating: "I'm going to fuck you up," "I'm going to go after your family," and "I'm going to stab you."
- On August 14, a threatening letter with a white powdery substance was sent to an ICE office in New York City.

Carbajal doxed an Immigration and Customs Enforcement employee, who was subsequently attacked by rioters and sent to the emergency room.
- On July 7, a gunman opened fire at the entrance of the United States Border Patrol (USBP) sector annex in McAllen, Texas. Both a Border Patrol officer and Border Patrol employee also sustained injuries. All three were taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.
- On Independence Day, a group of about 15 rioters violently attacked the ICE Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas—and shot at a local police officer. As ICE and their law enforcement partners attempted to take him into custody, Hurtado-Cariaco launched a brutal and premeditated assault on an ICE HSI special agent. During the attack, the illegal alien threw the ICE agent to the ground, slammed her head into the pavement, ripped off her body armor, and made repeated and physical violent contact. The agent sustained serious injuries to her head and arm and was immediately transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center for treatment. The agent has since been released from the hospital. The gang member was charged with attempted murder.

"As our brave ICE law enforcement is facing are more than 1000% increase in assaults the Washington Post is choosing to smear them," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "Here are the facts: any claim that there are "inhumane" conditions at ICE detention centers are categorically false. All detainees are provided with proper meals, medical treatment, and have opportunities to communicate with lawyers and their family members. It is a longstanding practice to provide comprehensive medical care from the moment an alien enters ICE custody. This is the best healthcare that many aliens have received in their entire lives. Meals are certified by dieticians. Ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of individuals in our custody is a top priority at ICE." The following are FALSE claims made in the Washington Post's article, as well as the facts: FALSE CLAIM: "ICE's inspectors found some people at Fort Bliss were being held without many basic human necessities." THE FACTS: Every detainee receives food, water, medical care, bedding and clean clothing. The Post twisted preliminary inspector notes into a smear campaign. The facility is climate-controlled and staffed to ensure safe and secure housing. FALSE CLAIM: "During the first few weeks, some toilets and sinks didn't work." THE FACTS: Temporary maintenance issues were resolved immediately. Detainees always had access to functioning lavatory and hygiene facilities. FALSE CLAIM: "By September… only one of the four planned outdoor recreation areas had been completed… some detainees reported only getting three sessions in a two-week period." THE FACTS: Recreation is provided consistent with ICE standards. FALSE CLAIM: "Due to concerns that detainees were not being given enough food, the facility decided to increase 'overall meal calories by 30%,'… inspectors noted this plan had not been implemented." THE FACTS: The claim that ICE underfeeds detainees is false. They receive three meals a day. Certified dieticians evaluate meals and ensure they meet the appropriate standards. FALSE CLAIM: "Inspectors also said contractors failed to follow mandatory procedures for medical care… charts never filled out… screenings never conducted." THE FACTS: Every detainee receives a medical intake screening and proper medical care. For many illegal aliens this is the best medical care they have received in their entire lives. FALSE CLAIM: "One detainee had been given psychotropic medication but there was no record of that person ever consenting to it. Another had been placed on suicide watch but there was no record of anyone watching them." THE FACTS: ICE and its medical contractors follow federal medical guidelines. Oversight is constant, and serious cases are escalated immediately. This is fearmongering clickbait. All detainees have access to appropriate medical, dental, and mental health care, including emergency services. Health care staff have a valid professional licensure and/or certification for the jurisdiction in which they practice and will perform duties within the scope of their clinical license. Facility mental health providers, by virtue of their education, credentials, and experience, are permitted by law to evaluate and care for the mental health needs of patients in ICE custody. Medical treatment shall not be administered against the detainee's will. If the detainee refuses to consent to treatment, medical staff will explain the medical risks to the detainee of declining treatment and make reasonable efforts to convince the detainee to voluntarily accept treatment in a language or manner that the detainee understands. A detainee may be placed in administrative segregation when the detainee's continued presence in the general population poses a threat to life, property, self, staff, or other detainees; for the secure and orderly operation of the facility; or for medical reasons. Staff shall observe and log observations on an irregular schedule; For cases that warrant increased observation, the staff shall observe detainees accordingly. FALSE CLAIM: "When federal inspectors arrived in September… Camp East Montana had 286 security personnel for more than 1,200 detainees… only a portion of the 452 officers promised." THE FACTS: Staffing levels at new facilities scale with population. Camp East Montana's ratio of officers to detainees fully meets safety requirements. The Post misled readers by comparing phased staffing numbers without sufficient background context. FALSE CLAIM: "Armed guards stationed along the facility's perimeter… instructions did not explain which situations would justify the use of lethal force." THE FACTS: ICE officers follow clear and strict rules on use of force consistent with federal law. The Post's claim is irresponsible fear-baiting. The facility contract security staff is reviewing their Use of Force policy to align with ICE's Use of Force policy. FALSE CLAIM: "For the first three weeks of August… legal representatives and Rep. Veronica Escobar… were turned away." THE FACTS: Tours and legal visits are accommodated after construction is complete and security protocols are in place. This member showed up when they facility wasn't even open yet. ICE did not "hide" conditions — safety dictated phased access. Congressmembers are aware of ICE's 7-day visitation request requirement. There was absolutely no notice given to ICE despite policies that are in place in order to protect detainees and law enforcement. FALSE CLAIM: "Inspectors later found that detainees were in the dark about their cases… they didn't even know who their assigned deportation officer was." THE FACTS: Detainees are provided access to lawyers and have full due process—in fact the average illegal alien gets far more due process than most Americans. | | | | | | DHS and FEMA Support State- and City-Led Debris Removal in St. Louis With Expedited Disaster Assistance | | 09/18/2025 | | | | | | DHS and FEMA Support State- and City-Led Debris Removal in St. Louis With Expedited Disaster Assistance WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced additional expedited Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance funding to support private property debris removal in the City of St. Louis following the federally-declared disaster in May. This funding will supplement the state and city's recovery operations while leveraging FEMA's technical expertise to ensure safe, efficient and accountable debris operations. "Secretary Noem is focused on recovery that empowers state and local leadership and gets resources where they are needed most," said a Senior DHS Spokesperson. "We are incredibly thankful to Senator Schmitt, and Governor Kehoe for their integral efforts in directing these funds to Missourians who are in need. By providing this federal funding and expert technical support, we are helping the City of St. Louis remove debris faster, safeguard communities and expedite recovery." Public Assistance is FEMA's disaster assistance program that reimburses state and local governments for eligible debris removal, emergency protective measures and other permanent work. FEMA will continue to provide on-the-ground technical assistance, oversight and best practices to help accelerate progress and protect public safety and health. This partnership keeps local and state officials in charge of recovery operations while also ensuring access to federal expertise and resources. Federal support to date has included: - FEMA deployed teams early in the response to provide direct support, guidance and targeted training, including debris management experts.
- FEMA assisted the city in standing up an emergency operations center that transitioned to a recovery center to coordinate debris operations and broader recovery.
- FEMA obligated $6.4 million for public debris removal in St. Louis.
- FEMA helped the city develop an overall contracting strategy and documents, evaluate contractor proposals and select initial debris removal contractors.

| DHS Statement on Sanctuary Politicians' Obstruction of Law Enforcement and Bomb Threat at 26 Federal Plaza in New York City | | WASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today released the following statement on agitators and sanctuary politicians' attempt to obstruct law enforcement at 26 Federal Plaza in New York, New York. Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said the following: “Another day, another sanctuary politician pulling a stunt in attempt to get their 15 minutes of fame while endangering DHS personnel and detainees. “Here are the facts: Brad Lander showed up to 26 Federal Plaza unannounced with agitators and media and proceeded to obstruct law enforcement and cause a scene. He yelled inside the building that he was ‘not leaving’ until detainees were ‘released.’ As a result of the chaos caused by Lander, Federal Protective Service called NYPD, and local police along with federal law enforcement arrested 71 agitators and sanctuary politicians including Brad Lander, two New York State Senators, and nine New York State Assembly Members. And now the building is on lockdown because someone called in a bomb threat. Detainees currently being processed at 26 Federal Plaza, which Lander and activists were demanding be released into the public, include: - A confirmed MS-13 member convicted of criminal possession of a weapon and DUI
- Illegal alien convicted of criminal possession of a gun
- An illegal alien with a final order of removal who was arrested for flying drones near the white house multiple times
- An illegal alien with 2kg of fentanyl
- An illegal alien convicted of drug trafficking in Switzerland
“Brad Lander’s obsession with attacking the brave men and women of law enforcement, physically and rhetorically, must stop NOW. The men and women of ICE put their lives on the line every day to arrest violent criminal illegal aliens to protect and defend the lives of American citizens. This type of rhetoric is contributing to the 1000% surge in assaults of ICE officers through this repeated vilification and demonization of ICE." | | # # # | | | | | ICE Lodges Arrest Detainer for Criminal Illegal Alien Charged with Brutally Raping a Young Woman in Connecticut | | 09/19/2025 | | | | | | ICE Lodges Arrest Detainer for Criminal Illegal Alien Charged with Brutally Raping a Young Woman in Connecticut Violent criminal illegal aliens flock to sanctuary states and cities where politicians protect them and allow them to roam free to commit more crimes against innocent victims WASHINGTON — On Sep. 11, 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an arrest detainer for Ludvi Carias-Interiano, a criminal illegal alien charged with aggravated sexual assault and unlawful restraint. He is accused of raping a young jogger while holding a box cutter to her throat in a New Haven, Connecticut park on Aug. 9, 2025. According to local reports, the DNA evidence collected from items on the scene of the August assault matched previously obtained swabs from Carias-Interiano in connection with a 2016 physical assault involving a male minor and sexual assault of a female minor in Plano, Texas. ICE's arrest detainer should prevent the release of the twice-deported criminal illegal alien back into the community. Unfortunately, Connecticut recently reinforced their "Trust Act" severely limiting law enforcement cooperation with ICE, effectively making them a sanctuary state. "This criminal illegal alien should have NEVER been in our country in the first place to commit this heinous rape of a young women jogging in the park. This violent criminal has prior charges for sexual assault of a minor and violent assault," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "ICE lodged an arrest detainer to ensure this criminal illegal alien is not released on U.S. streets to terrorize more innocent women. Unfortunately, Connecticut is a Sanctuary state that protects predators like Carias-Interian by refusing to work with ICE. These sanctuary politicians put American lives in danger." Carias-Interiano's criminal history also includes convictions for assault and illegal re-entry. He was deported from the United States twice during President Trump's first term but returned unlawfully at an unknown date and location. | | | | | | Violent Rioters Assault Law Enforcement at ICE Broadview Processing Center, Police under JB Pritzker's Sanctuary Jurisdiction Refuse to Answer Calls to Help Stop Assaults | | 09/19/2025 | | | | | | Violent Rioters Assault Law Enforcement at ICE Broadview Processing Center, Police under JB Pritzker's Sanctuary Jurisdiction Refuse to Answer Calls to Help Stop Assaults These violent attacks come after Governor Pritzker and Mayor Johnson demonized ICE, comparing them to the Secret Police and claiming the U.S. is essentially becoming Nazi Germany WASHINGTON – Early this morning, over a hundred rioters surrounded the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Broadview Processing Center— rioters assaulted law enforcement, threw tear gas cans, slashed tires of cars, blocked the entrance of the building, and trespassed on private property. Police under JB Pritzker's sanctuary jurisdiction refused to answer multiple calls for assistance. So far, federal law enforcement arrested three rioters. Throughout the morning, vans have shown up to pick up and drop off rioters. This is an organized effort to obstruct ICE law enforcement. Our ICE enforcement officers are facing a more than 1000% increase in assaults against them. Disturbingly, in recent days, two ICE officers' have had cars used as weapons against them. These riots outside the ICE Broadview Processing Center and attacks on ICE officers come after Democrat politicians, including Governor Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson, have villainized and demonized ICE law enforcement. Governor Pritzker claimed the United States is "essentially" becoming Nazi Germany as a result of ICE's heroic efforts. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson called ICE "secret police" who "are terrorizing our communities." "The violent targeting of law enforcement in Illinois by lawless rioters is despicable and Governor JB Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson must call for it to end. The men and women of ICE put their lives on the line to protect the people of Illinois and all Americans," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "Make no mistake, Democrat politicians like Hakeem Jeffries, Mayor Wu of Boston, Tim Walz, and Mayor Bass of Los Angeles are contributing to the surge in assaults of our ICE officers through their repeated dehumanizing and demonization of ICE. From comparisons to the modern-day Nazi gestapo to glorifying rioters, the violent rhetoric of these sanctuary politicians is going to get law enforcement killed. This violence against ICE must end." These rioters and sanctuary politicians are choosing to side with criminals over American victims. The Midway Blitz Operation has resulted in the arrest of hundreds of criminal illegal aliens, including Tren de Aragua gang members and those with prior criminal histories of: - Murder
- Sexual Assault of a Child
- Sexual Assault
- Felony Assault
- Domestic Violence
- Stalking
- Drug Trafficking
- Armed Robbery
- Vehicular Robbery
| | | | | | DHS Sets the Record Straight on Gross Smears Against ICE Officer Who Was Seriously Injured in Line of Duty and Shooting in Chicago During Traffic Stop | | 09/19/2025 | | | | | | DHS Sets the Record Straight on Gross Smears Against ICE Officer Who Was Seriously Injured in Line of Duty and Shooting in Chicago During Traffic Stop ICE law enforcement is facing a 1000% increase in assaults against them as they carry out enforcement operations WASHINGTON — On September 12, while carrying out an enforcement operation targeting a criminal illegal alien, the alien resisted arrest, attempted to flee the scene and dragged a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer a significant distance. ICE officers conducted a vehicle stop to arrest Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez. He refused to follow law enforcement officers' commands and drove his car at law enforcement officers. One of the ICE officers was hit by the car and dragged a significant distance. Fearing for his own life and broader public safety, the officer fired his weapon. The officer followed his training, used appropriate force, and properly enforced the law to protect the public and law enforcement. Despite his injuries, the officer and his partner immediately started administering emergency medical care to the illegal alien. The illegal alien was pronounced dead. The ICE officer sustained multiple injuries and has now been discharged from the hospital. The officer who fired his weapon has been a member of ICE law enforcement since 2021. Prior to that, he served in another federal law enforcement agency, worked as an EMT, and served in the military. This was his first time firing his weapon in a use of force incident. Both law enforcement officers involved in this incident were well seasoned and trained professionals. His partner on the scene was one of the first responders to the New Year's Eve terrorist attack in New Orleans. "The officer who discharged his weapon feared for his life while he was being dragged a significant distance by a car. Our law enforcement officer followed his training, used appropriate force, and properly enforced the law to protect the public and law enforcement. The smears and misleading reporting in the days since the incident have been disgusting and contribute to our officers facing more resistance and assaults against them," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "Viral social media videos and activists encouraging illegal aliens to resist law enforcement not only undermine public safety, but also the safety of our officers and those illegal aliens being apprehended." The target of the enforcement operation was Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez, a criminal illegal alien with a history of reckless driving. He entered the country at an unknown date and time. | | | | | | Hundreds of Americans Attend DHS Career Expo Amid Recruitment Drive | | 09/19/2025 | | | | | | Hundreds of Americans Attend DHS Career Expo Amid Recruitment Drive The law enforcement career expo in Provo, Utah gave Americans a chance to directly answer the call to serve their country WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the resounding success of its recent Career Expo in Provo, Utah, where more than 1,500 people registered to explore career opportunities in law enforcement and support roles. Many of the candidates who attended the expo had started the application process before attending and were completing things on their to-do list, such as drug tests, finger printing, and more. Attending the in-person career expo helped candidates expedite their hiring process with a one-stop shop to complete their applications. "The DHS Career Expo in Provo, Utah was a fantastic success. More than 1,500 people registered for the event. In the first day alone, DHS extended more than 370 tentative job offers for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers. In total, DHS extended almost 500 tentative job offers, and we anticipate additional selections in the near future with over 200 more completed applications received," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "Americans are answering their country's call to serve and help remove murderers, pedophiles, rapists, terrorists, and gang members from our country; since July, more than 151,000 Americans have applied to ICE nationwide." "This is what restoring sanity to America's immigration system looks like," said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "Conditions in Syria no longer prevent their nationals from returning home. Syria has been a hotbed of terrorism and extremism for nearly two decades, and it is contrary to our national interest to allow Syrians to remain in our country. TPS is meant to be temporary." Syrian nationals have 60 days to voluntarily depart the United States and return home. Aliens leaving the United States are encouraged to use the U.S. Customs and Border Protection CBP Home app to report their departure from the United States and take advantage of a safe, secure way to self-deport that includes a complimentary plane ticket, a $1,000 exit bonus, and potential future opportunities for legal immigration. After the 60 days have expired, any Syrian national admitted under TPS who have not begun their voluntary removal proceedings will be subject to arrest and deportation. Any alien who forces DHS to arrest and remove them will never be allowed to return to the United States. | | | | | | Meet the Criminal Illegal Aliens Sanctuary Politicians Want Released From 26 Federal Plaza in New York City | | 09/19/2025 | | | | | Meet the Criminal Illegal Aliens Sanctuary Politicians Want Released From 26 Federal Plaza in New York City WASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today released information on the criminals being processed at 26 Federal Plaza in New York City on September 18, 2025 when agitators and sanctuary politicians obstructed law enforcement and demanded the release of all detainees who were in the facility. Currently, there are only 16 detainees at the processing center—some of the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens—including MS-13 gang members and criminals convicted of illegal possession of a weapon, drug trafficking, and serial drunk drivers. "Another day with more politicians pulling a stunt in attempt to get their 15 minutes of fame while endangering DHS personnel and detainees. Here are the facts: Brad Lander showed up to 26 Federal Plaza unannounced with agitators and media and proceeded to obstruct law enforcement and cause a scene. He yelled inside the building that he was 'not leaving' until detainees were 'released.' As a result of the chaos caused by Lander, Federal Protective Service called NYPD, and local police along with federal law enforcement arrested 71 agitators and sanctuary politicians including Brad Lander, two New York State Senators, and nine New York State Assembly Members," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "MS-13 Gang members, drug traffickers, serial drunk drivers, and an illegal alien convicted of possession of a weapon. These are the criminal illegal aliens these sanctuary politicians were fighting to be released back onto the streets of New York City. The men and women of ICE put their lives on the line every day to arrest violent criminal illegal aliens to protect and defend the lives of American citizens." Detainees currently being processed at 26 Federal Plaza, which Lander and activists were demanding be released into the public, include: Vladimir Kuca—a criminal illegal alien from Albania—illegally entered the U.S. in 2023 and was released into the country under the Biden administration. He has been convicted of drug trafficking in Switzerland and was handed over to ICE by the FBI on September 18, 2025. David Abrego Alvarado—a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador—who is a confirmed MS-13 gang member. He was first removed from the U.S. in 2017 and illegally returned in 2023 under the Biden administration and was paroled into the U.S. He has a DWI conviction. Juan Hernandez Saravia—a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador—who is a confirmed MS-13 gang member. He has been convicted of three DUIs and has two additional convictions for possession of a weapon. He was previously removed in 2007 and re-entered the U.S. illegally at an unknown date and time. Juan Enrique Pena Soriano—a criminal illegal alien from the Dominican Republic—entered the U.S. at an unknown date and time. He was arrested by the DEA for possession of a controlled substance and turned over to ICE. Asker Aslanovich Khutov—a criminal illegal alien from Russia—who illegally overstayed a B-2 tourist visa and has a final order of removal from an immigration judge. He has been convicted of criminal possession of stolen property. Miguel Ramirez—a criminal illegal alien from Mexico—who illegally entered the U.S. at an unknown date and time. He has been charged with restricted consumption and was previously convicted for resisting arrest. | | | | | | Undeterred by Political Stunts and Obstruction of Law Enforcement, ICE Continues to Arrest Worst of Worst | | 09/19/2025 | | U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

| | Undeterred by Political Stunts and Obstruction of Law Enforcement, ICE Continues to Arrest Worst of Worst | | WASHINGTON — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continue to arrest the worst of the worst dangerous criminal illegal aliens across the country despite agitators and radical sanctuary politicians attempting to obstruct law enforcement. “Yesterday, while Democrat lawmakers were obstructing law enforcement at Federal 26 Plaza, ICE law enforcement officers were arresting more pedophiles, child abusers, and kidnappers. Nothing will slow ICE down from removing criminal illegal aliens who are terrorizing American communities,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “DHS applauds the heroic work of the brave men and women of ICE who are securing our nation and restoring the rule of law for our American citizens.” Among yesterday’s arrests: - Armando Vasquez-Gonzalez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, convicted of indecency with a child sexual contact in Hays County, Texas.

ICE continues to call on our state and local partners to work alongside federal enforcement efforts to remove dangerous offenders from American communities. | | # # # | | | | | DHS Puts California, New York, and Illinois on Notice for Failure to Honor Criminal Illegal Alien Detainers | | 09/20/2025 | | | | | DHS Puts California, New York, and Illinois on Notice for Failure to Honor Criminal Illegal Alien Detainers The Department of Homeland Security sent letters to three major sanctuary states demanding they comply with Federal immigration law by honoring ICE detainers WASHINGTON – Today the Department of Homeland Security, via U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), followed up on instructions that it sent last week to attorneys general of the states of California, Illinois, and New York to confirm whether they will protect the American people and cooperate with ICE to detain criminal illegal aliens, or whether they will allow thousands of criminal illegal aliens back into American communities. On September 10th 2025, Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons instructed relevant state officials to respond within two days to indicate whether they intended to honor thousands of ICE detainers on criminal illegal aliens within their jurisdictions or whether they would continue to place their states in danger. These detainers request that these jurisdictions notify ICE when criminal illegal aliens are to be released from jail or prison to ensure the safe transfer of portable criminal illegal aliens into ICE custody. Failure to honor these detainers has led to numerous illegal alien murderers, rapists, and pedophiles being released back into California, New York, and Illinois communities. ICE received responses from Illinois and New York that underscored their refusal to honor ICE detainers. California did not respond. Yesterday, ICE sent follow-up letters to these jurisdictions, letting them know that while ICE would prefer to work in cooperation with them, ICE will engage with the Department of Justice and other Federal partners to pursue all appropriate measures to end their inadvisable and irresponsible obstruction of the apprehension and removal of criminal illegal aliens. The Illinois Attorney Gerneral's office refused to accept the letter. "These dangerous sanctuary policies, often combined with cashless bail for serious crimes, allow criminal illegal aliens to be released back into American communities — threatening the American people's lives and wellbeing," said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. "ICE detainers ask for something very simple: To notify ICE when criminal illegal aliens are released from jail or prison, to ensure that they go into ICE custody before they are released back onto our streets. These sanctuary state politicians should do the right thing and side with law-abiding Americans over criminal illegal aliens." The Trump Administration has consistently targeted the worst of the worst illegal alien criminals across the country. However, open border politicians in states like California, Illinois, and New York endanger their fellow citizens by refusing to honor ICE detainers against criminal illegal aliens endangering not just their own residents, but all Americans. Over the years, these and other sanctuary state policies have impeded the Federal government's ability to enforce immigration laws and have enabled thousands of violent criminals to prowl our neighbors, directly threatening innocent American citizens. Despite that resistance from sanctuary politicians across the country, DHS has so far arrested more than 400,000 illegal aliens – 70% of whom arrested by ICE have criminal charges or convictions. Below are just a handful of the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens who were RELEASED back on the streets because of these reckless sanctuary policies: Minh Le Hoang, a criminal illegal alien from Vietnam, charged for crimes including failure to register as a sexual offender, driving while license suspended, and hit-and-run. Adan Abimael Aguilar Moreno, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with a criminal history of rape. Diego Angel Carmona Mongoy, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with a criminal history including inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant. Marco Antonio Diosdado, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with a criminal history of trespassing. Roberto Diaz Lopez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with a criminal history of committing battery. Heriberto Holguin-Sandoval, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with a criminal history of oral copulation with person under 14. Gabriel J. Valle Galvez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with convictions for battery, aggravated assault, DUI, trespassing, criminal damage to property, public indecency, violation of order of protection, and multiple assaults. Valle Galvez has been identified as a Latin King gang member. Javier Carmelo Casillas Gomez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with convictions for procuring prostitution, domestic violence/assault, drug possession, and an active warrant for drug manufacturing. Victor Manuel Gomez-Atilano, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with prior deportations and convictions for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Ricardo Salas Muro, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico with convictions for burglary and drug possession. Dany Daniel Hernandez Colina, a 27-year-old criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and Tren de Aragua gang member with repeat arrests for burglary and shoplifting. Carlos Johendy Gonzales Montero, a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and Tren de Aragua gang member with charges for reckless conduct, aggravated assault with a weapon, and armed violence. Oscar Remirez Vences, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico and member of the Two Six gang with convictions for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and domestic battery. Frankismar Oliveira-Infante, a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela with convictions for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault. Rutilo Uriostegui Mojica, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with convictions for illegal reentry, drug possession, and multiple DUIs. Pedro Enrique Colmenares Gonzalez, a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and Tren De Aragua gang member with a past criminal history of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, sexual assault, domestic battery, and kidnapping. Abdul Raza Al Kaby, a criminal illegal alien from Iraq, with convictions for felonious assault, assault with a deadly weapon, and murder/intent to kill. | | | | | | |
