Dear Friend,
For more than thirty years, Desiring God has been resolved to get our teaching to everyone free of charge. Whether you listen to Ask Pastor John or Light + Truth, read articles or Solid Joys, watch Look at the Book or messages, download books — or do all of the above! — we don't make anyone pay for anything. We want to make sure that money is never a barrier to the truth about Jesus.
But we both know that there is a cost of free.
Pastor John recorded this short video to share his heart and to invite you to help enable free access to our resources. May it inspire you to contribute your first gift and begin your partnership in "paying the cost of free."
As Pastor John says in the video, our eyes are fixed on future purposes. We are bursting with fresh initiatives and energy to aggressively spread great joy in a big God to a new generation, and we need God to provide the money we need for those ambitions. You can learn more about those initiatives and vision.
Perhaps you are God's means to provide this year. Know that in this invitation, we want your heart more than your treasure. Jesus says, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." So if your heart is with us, would you consider giving your first gift this December?
Thank you for considering helping us offset the cost of free for others. We pray that thousands more might hear of God's abundant goodness because of our partnership together, and we hope that your joy in Christ overflows this season to the glory of God.
With gratitude and enthusiasm,
Marshall Segal
President & CEO
