Matthew 1:19-20(KJV) Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
This is a perfect example of proof that God gets involved with people in the plans to save us.
I wrote about this in a previous post.
Today I wanted to point out that the thoughts of Joseph were not in harmony with the heavenly father and needed a little help.
God needed to have a virgin conceive and give birth to a son who would be the Savior.
God could have done it by explaining the plan to him without him going through the method of dreaming. In my experience, being a member of the group who have experienced the still small voice of God. I remember that voice but I don't remember any dreams that I have had. This is a new covenant we are enjoying. Mary and Joseph were the earthly parents of their Savior. God chose to require that Joseph be involved in the earthly parenting of the Son of God and not to put Mary away privately. God chose the method of using the angel of the Lord.
