Church for Introverts
"And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near" (Hebrews 10:25 nlt).
When I first started going to church it was difficult because I was a loner. I was a loner because I had to be when I was growing up.
My mother was married and divorced seven times. She never had a shortage of men in her life. We would be living in a certain area where I went to a certain school, and then my mom would say, "It's time to leave and go to a new place." And off we would go.
As a result, I was always the new kid in the class. It's miserable, by the way, to join the class in the middle of the year. The teacher introduces you to everyone, which is completely humiliating. I still remember it vividly.
I would be called "new kid" for months. Finally, I would start learning names, and then my mom would say that it was time to go. So, I was somewhat withdrawn from other people and didn't really have any lasting relationships.
But then I became a part of the church. And I built friendships more than 35 years ago that I still have today. |

10 Reasons God Might Not Be Blessing Your Life |
|
Cindi McMenamin |
Are you looking around at other believers' lives and feeling "skipped over" when it comes to God's blessings? I've received emails from several people in the last month asking why God isn't blessing their lives? Some of those emails recount all the things they are supposedly doing right and others complained that God wasn't keeping His part of the bargain.
We know from Scripture that God is a good God who loves to bless His children (Matt. 7:11). At the same time, God knows our hearts, our capabilities, and what's around the corner for us, so if He choose not to bless in a certain area, that might even be a blessing in itself.
Based on three decades of ministering to others as a pastor's wife and Bible teacher, and seeing the blessings of God come and go in my life and in the lives of others, here are 10 Reasons God Might Not Be Blessing Your Life:

|
Alisa Childers |
