But one day, God interrupted in the most unusual way. Adar's father entered a public toilet and found a New Testament Bible being used as toilet paper, a rather common occurrence among Muslims then. His father's eyes fell on the powerful words that pierced His father's heart. And he took the Bible with him and read the rest of it.
He wanted to know what happened before Jesus came. He searched out some Christians and asked for a complete Bible. After reading the entire Bible, Adar's father asked Jesus to come into his heart and life. Jesus began to change this man. Adar said his father located him on the streets and took him to church where he began to experience God's love. God restored his family.
The seed of God's Word found in the most unexpected place produced a harvest. Today Adar and his family are missionaries. His mother is healed of cancer, his father is a pastor.
In Luke 8, Jesus told the story of the farmer who went out to sow seed. Later on, the disciples came to Him privately and asked Him to explain the parable. He said the word of God was like a seed (Luke 8:11). The Word of God has the power to grow when planted in an honest and obedient heart.
It is the living and active Word of God that produces truth in the human heart.
