His Dominion Over All
This content is drawn from: Mark 4:35-41
“... who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations. Those living far away fear your wonders; where morning dawns and evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.” Psalm 65:7-8
Not every run on the trash barge (mentioned in yesterday’s devotional) was tranquil. On one stormy occasion, we found ourselves bailing water frantically with waves topping the transom. We thought it might be the last run of the SS Maggot. With life vest donned and emergency radio at the ready, the captain of the boat was a nervous wreck, expecting the worst.
We were one rogue wave away from sinking, but then my eyes were opened. I asked, “What’s the worst that could happen?” The boat was made of wood so, even if the water topped the stern, it wouldn’t actually sink, and most of the trash would float to shore where the Coast Guard would come pick us up. With a little more perspective, I remembered that the One who made the seas, who calmed the storms, who carried us in the palm of His hand was in the boat with us. We had nothing to worry about!
When life seems close to washing over you, pray to the One who will bring you safely into the harbor. Your Savior calms the crashing waves around you and cares for you.
He who calms the storms also allows the storms. It is through the storms that we grow. Pray for perseverance, not calm waters.

The following request applies to any of the christian ministries that are currently getting visitors from my blog:
I am currently blogging: https://webmaster220.blogspot.com I would like to place a banner on the right side of my home page that promotes your ministry If I do that and it helps your ministry grow and expand do you have a suggestion as to what type of commission or contribution could be paid to my ministry. The reason I am saying that is there are a lot of ministries out there that are buying advertising space online and yours could be one of them for all I know. I have been an affiliate marketer for years on my blog but no commissions have ever been earned even though I am doing everything required to be done to earn the commissions. My blog readers are just not interested in spending any money on any of the goods or services discussed in my banner ads and text links. To reply, use the contact form below this paragraph Thanks, Rick Livermore - Webmaster220
