From Lobster to Loved
This content is drawn from: Isaiah 64
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18a
If you’ve ever prepared your own fresh lobster for dinner, you’ll agree that their moniker as “roaches of the sea” is much deserved. They are nocturnal, sewage and cadaver-consuming garbage disposers of the shallow, murky, near-shore waters. Unless you have a professional chef cook them for you, they can taste as bad as you might expect. Many of today’s delicacies—like frog legs and oysters—were once peasants’ food. It’s a rite of passage for a chef to turn something common and filthy into a delicacy. But without experience, no amount of garlic butter can compensate for the gamy, chewy taste of a poorly prepared, wild-caught lobster.
We too were once as filthy and revolting as bottom-dwelling lobsters. No amount of perfume (or fig leaves) could cover our sinful nature. We needed a professional. And Christ didn’t just clean us up; He took our sin to the grave. He didn’t just make us seem tolerable as garlic butter can do for wild lobster. He made us into beings whom God sees as holy, righteous, and precious to Him.
Stop trying to be good and understand that Christ has re-made you! Now go forth and conform yourself to your re-Maker.

The following request applies to any of the christian ministries that are currently getting visitors from my blog:
I am currently blogging: https://webmaster220.blogspot.com I would like to place a banner on the right side of my home page that promotes your ministry If I do that and it helps your ministry grow and expand do you have a suggestion as to what type of commission or contribution could be paid to my ministry. The reason I am saying that is there are a lot of ministries out there that are buying advertising space online and yours could be one of them for all I know. I have been an affiliate marketer for years on my blog but no commissions have ever been earned even though I am doing everything required to be done to earn the commissions. My blog readers are just not interested in spending any money on any of the goods or services discussed in my banner ads and text links. To reply, use the contact form below this paragraph Thanks, Rick Livermore - Webmaster220
