Tuesday, January 12, 2021 If This Were the Day "You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected" (Luke 12:40 NLT). I received a letter a while ago from someone who was working at an abortion clinic in North Carolina. One day she was listening to A New Beginning on the radio when she heard me ask this question: If Christ were to come back tonight, are you doing anything you would be ashamed to be doing? Immediately she thought of what she did for a living. So she quit her job, and now she's involved in pro-life work. Let's say that Jesus was returning today. Would you be ready? Or, are you doing something you'd be ashamed to be doing if He were to come back? If so, you need to change that behavior. You need to be ready to go because you don't know when Jesus will return. When I go on a trip, I always pack the night before. I'll admit, however, that I tend to overpack because I want to have what I need for the trip. But I have everything on wheels now, so I can just drag it behind me. |
