Take time to be with God today! View this email in your browser Then we cried to the Lord, the God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our affliction, our toil, and our oppression. And the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great deeds of terror, with signs and wonders.   ─Deuteronomy 26:7-8 ESV  God Always Responds During Hardship  The past year definitely brought hardships to our lives across the globe. No one expected a global pandemic. We've never experienced anything like it in our lifetime. But God always responds to His people during hardship.   Before we get to our verse for today let's look at two things God said to His people in Exodus:  "I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them …" (Exodus 3:7 ESV).  "I have observed you and what has been done to you ... and I promise that I will bring you up out of the affliction" (Exodus 3:16-17 ESV).    Your Father in Heaven sees the hardships you endure. He knows what you're facing today. He hears your cry and understands your sufferings and will deliver you just as he delivered His people in these verses. He will bring you up!  In our verses today, God's people testified of His goodness. They confirmed God heard their voice, saw their hardship and brought them out of the difficult circumstances they had endured for generations. They celebrated the wondrous miracles God did in response to their cries for help.  No matter what challenges you're facing today, trust God to respond. Even if it seems it's taking a lot longer than you'd like, believe He will come through for you!    Today's One Thing  Take a look back today and celebrate God's faithful responses to your prayers. Count them today by sharing with a few other people what God has done for you in the past.
