Diving into God’s Word
This content is drawn from: Matthew 13:31-35
“Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.” Acts 17:11
Kelp is a giant marine forest-forming seaweed growing along ocean coastlines. Its tangled networks of filamentous “roots” are a holdfast anchor for the 200-foot-long algae in the cool, nutrient-rich currents. When these holdfasts wash up on the beach, they look like enormous masses of spaghetti. Upon closer inspection, you may discover little gooseneck barnacles, limpets, and skeleton shrimp clinging at the surface. Dig deeper and you observe brittle stars, bat stars, hermit crabs, and baby sea urchins. Investigate yet further into the network and you might find a baby octopus, a shark egg, a decorator crab, or a mantis shrimp!
Diving into the Word of the Lord should be exciting like making discoveries in a holdfast of kelp. The first time you read a new passage, the Spirit may reveal one truth. But in broader context, you will see a wider, overarching truth. Just as a field guide may help you know what animal you have found, a commentary may enlighten some of the deeper truths waiting to encourage you as you read.
Mix up your Bible study routine. Study deep and wide, looking at large sections of Scripture and sometimes diving into rich passages even further.

The following request applies to any of the christian ministries that are currently getting visitors from my blog:
I am currently blogging: https://webmaster220.blogspot.com I would like to place a banner on the right side of my home page that promotes your ministry If I do that and it helps your ministry grow and expand do you have a suggestion as to what type of commission or contribution could be paid to my ministry. The reason I am saying that is there are a lot of ministries out there that are buying advertising space online and yours could be one of them for all I know. I have been an affiliate marketer for years on my blog but no commissions have ever been earned even though I am doing everything required to be done to earn the commissions. My blog readers are just not interested in spending any money on any of the goods or services discussed in my banner ads and text links. To reply, use the contact form below this paragraph Thanks, Rick Livermore - Webmaster220
