July 2020 marks Blue Campaign's 10th anniversary. Over the last 10 years, Blue Campaign has worked to raise awareness of human trafficking, educate industry and the public how to recognize and report the crime, and train law enforcement how to utilize a victim-centered approach. Thank you to all the organizations and individuals who have collaborated with us, shared our resources, and used their voices to combat human trafficking. We look forward to continuing our work together!
Updated! Human Trafficking Information Sheets
Each information sheet is available in multiple languages. The human trafficking 101 sheet can be found in Arabic, English, French, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. The DHS Anti-Trafficking Efforts sheet is available for download in English and Spanish.
Blue Lightning Initiative Signs New Partners
The Blue Lightning Initiative (BLI) has partnered with The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) and NATA Compliance Services (NATACS). In the partnership announcement press release from NATA and NATACS, they share details on how their work with BLI will educate the general aviation community about the pervasiveness of human trafficking, how to detect it, and the methods of elimination. Through the partnership, NATA and NATACS aim to empower their members and offer them the appropriate resources to recognize and report human trafficking.

Xinjiang Supply Chain Business Advisory (U.S. Department of Homeland Security) The U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a joint advisory urging U.S. companies to monitor their activities in China, particularly in the Xinjiang region, where the Chinese government is harshly repressing its own people and is committing human rights abuses.
Crisis in Human Trafficking During the Pandemic (Polaris) The number of people seeking emergency shelter to escape human trafficking surged in the month following U.S. lockdown orders implemented to slow the spread of COVID-19. Polaris said the number of cases in which people contacted its emergency hotline seeking shelter nearly doubled from pre-shelter-in-place orders.
