A Personal Word from Mel Lawrenz Dear friends – Right now I am engaged in a challenging but important work, helping people who have experienced some kind of devastating loss in their lives. If you so choose, you can help out. I know that any of us can survive traumatic loss because my family has had to walk that journey, and we still are. But it can be so confusing and frightening and paralyzing when we lose someone close. Or are utterly rejected. Or lose our homes or our jobs or our marriages. Or get terribly ill. A year and a half ago I felt compelled to write a book for people who have experienced the earthquake of traumatic loss. To be honest, I did not want to write it because it was painful to do so. Next week it will be released. It is called A Chronicle of Grief: Finding Life After Traumatic Loss and it is published by the good folks at InterVarsity Press. What we are hearing from people is that this small book offers an honest account of traumatic loss, and a basis for hope. And practical help.
