March 2, 2021 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines obesity as a complex disease involving an excessive amount of body fat. According to the CDC, obesity is a serious problem in the United States, affecting approximately 40 percent of adults and 18 percent of children. Obesity-related health conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer. These conditions are some of the leading causes of preventable, premature death. Read more March 4, 2021 Problem gambling is any gambling behavior that disrupts your life. Gambling problems can affect anyone from any walk of life. The National Council on Problem Gambling estimates that approximately four to six million – two to three percent of the population – meet the criteria for problem gambling.
