Each year, on the third Monday in January, Americans honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and legacy with acts of service. This year, despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, there are plenty of ways to make the 26th annual Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service "a day on, not a day off." We invite you to join with AmeriCorps in honoring his legacy to serve by creating or participating in safe service initiatives in your neighborhood. Our dedicated MLKDay.gov website provides resources, ideas and inspirational stories of service to share. PS: You and your network are encouraged to download and share our newly released "I will serve/I served" badges as a way to encourage individuals to share their commitment to serve this MLK Day. Please share these badges from your social media accounts encouraging your audiences to participate using the hashtag #MLKDayOn. Learn about other opportunities to serve in AmeriCorps. |
